They could not find our reservation at first and they over charged us. We paid for parking of $125 per night parking in our package and the hotel also charged us an additional $86 per for Valet parking. Our total charges should have been $1363.71. The Wade hotel charged us $1731.08 which is $367.37 more than we should have paid

We stayed at The Wade in Chicago from Aug. 27–30. We checked in around 10 PM, and the check-in experience was difficult due to poor communication. Our room had a very loud AC unit and another constant noise. Because we were exhausted from traveling, we initially went to sleep. The next night, the noise was so disruptive that we lost significant sleep. The following morning, my husband discovered that our room was next to the elevator and that much of the noise was coming from the elevator operating throughout the night. We reported the issue to the front desk. A different employee apologized, offered us a $150 credit, and said he would move us to another room. Since we were leaving for the day, we asked him to leave a note for the evening staff so we could change rooms when we returned. He agreed. That evening, the same employee who checked us in was working. He said there was no note and initially would not honor the $150 credit. He said his supervisor would only approve $50, which we felt was inadequate given the lost sleep and inconvenience. We told him to keep the $50. The next morning, the employee who offered the $150 confirmed that he had indeed made that offer. Unfortunately, we were already checking out and had already eaten breakfast, so the credit was no longer useful. Problems can happen at hotels, but how they are handled matters. The poor communication, noisy room, lost sleep, and inconsistent handling of the promised credit

1. We checked in after 4pm, the hotel's official check-in time is 4pm, yet we were initially given only one room. We got the 2rd room around 5:30pm, and the last one after 10pm. 2. The elevator system was too bad so we had to wait too long for it every time. 3. Around 1:00 PM on 8/13, I was queuing to pick up our stored luggages. There are many customers were waiting for the service. When it was my turn, the front desk staff ignored me and instead attended to a customer who had been standing by side and was not in line. I objected, but the staff claimed falsely that customer arrived before us, even though that customer had definitely arrived after us. Standing nearby, my son was very angry and said: "Let's never stay at this hotel again.!"

Property needs a lot of work as far as the hallways. The doors are scratched and the carpets could be replaced. A lot of wear and tear. I noticed it seems to be a party hotel for a lot of young people. The rooms are clean and okay. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Especially Will and Dakota.
