voco Chicago Downtown - Riverwalk by IHG

We love staying at the Voco for the location, and the views! Rooms are always clean and it’s a great vibe there! We have stayed multiple times.

It’s on the riverwalk but it’s a basic hotel. You’re not getting anything extra luxe wise for the price they are asking for.

I paid a significant amount of money to stay at this hotel, so the least I expected was a clean, comfortable room and a good overall experience. Unfortunately, the quality of the stay did not match the price at all.

The Voco hotel was beautiful, terrific location, walkable to many of Chicago’s finest attractions! Beautiful views from all rooms.

However, I have a concern about the parking lot. I noticed a scratch on the front driver’s side of my car. It appears to have been caused by a red car. We left the hotel on August 10th at around 6 am, and we didn’t even realize it had happened. I wish I had noticed it before we left. I’m not sure how the security camera caught this. Overall, all other hotel services are excellent.

There was food on the floor that was there and never picked up. Rooms smelled bad.

Such a wonderful stay, the parking ramp was super convenient, and the staff were super helpful.

Usually, the staff is fine, the room is clean and as I usually fly in early, they do everything they can to check me in as soon as possible. This trip was different- I got to the hotel at around noon and everyone at the desk that I worked with, had a massive chip on their shoulder. The room was not ready, which is fine but they were sharp and unhelpful when I asked if they could, please let me know as soon as the room is available as I was feeling sick. After about an hour, I went to the desk again and spoke with Santiago he was extremely unhelpful, told me I had a ton of people ahead of me in line, I thought they would let me know when they had a room available. About another hour later, I went back to the desk,
