Super 8 by Wyndham Kansas City at Barry Road/Airport

Arrived in pouring rain on my motorcycle to be greeted by grungy group of men smoking and staring… no one inside available to checkin… a guy walked past me inside the doorway and informed me that not only was there no one around to check me in… there was no elevator as he turned and started walking up some filthy stairway!! This was enough for me to get back on my already drenched motorcycle and seek shelter elsewhere!! Never again will I ever book a room at this nasty place… refund my money!!!

The air conditioner has a smell just turn it off.

I had to use a Kiosk to "check in" at the front desk, which was almost not user friendly. It was very difficult to hear the guy on the other end helping to verify everything. The rooms were ok. The room I was in had torn curtains, and a torn bedspread which had been sewed. The wall board behind the bed was very dirty, kind of grossed me out, but the bed itself was clean. I really was only there to shower and sleep, so it wasn't much trouble for me. I am just letting you know what I experienced. Checking out was easy. There was actually a person behind the counter at 730am when I checked out.

Dirty sheets smelled bad horrible check in food was bad milk smelt spoiled horrible experience overall

Won't be back to this particular hotel just because of the webcam reservation I want a person when I check in not someone I cannot understand and someone else staring at you but not offering their assistance when they work there the carpet felt wet and musty the continental breakfast was basically two kinds of cereal and some bread this hotel was just not my cup of tea

Property and room were very clean and maintained. I enjoyed the granite look tub and obviously newly renovated bathroom. We were disappointed in the poor trailer parking and the very sparse breakfast

For an inexpensive room for one night on short notice it was adequate. The room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast selection left a lot to be desired. There was cereal, juice, bread for toast and coffee.

We immediately reported the issue to the front desk, but were told they could not provide a solution or process a refund because the reservation had been made online and the manager would not be back until September 2. For a serious issue like this, I would have expected at the very least an immediate room change or another reasonable solution. Unfortunately, neither was offered. Very disappointing experience and inadequate handling of a legitimate health and accommodation concern.

There was a woman at the front desk but you can't check in with her. There is a kiosk where you have to speak to someone remote and they take multiple pictures of your ID. The rooms do not look like the pictures shown online, are smaller, and in much worse condition. The AC unit was dripping water onto the carpet of the room and the entire place smelled horrible. We immediately wanted to cancel and go somewhere else, and it was about a 45 minute ordeal to get a refund because the woman at the desk couldn't do it herself. She also couldn't give any proof of the refund even through email. Wasn't expecting a ton because it's a Super 8, but this hotel is absolutely not something worth booking

The price was very good. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. That is all that was needed.

Keycard kept deactivating every single day. Check in process was tedious. Some front desk workers were rude. One worker tried to say one of the minors with me was an adult and that I had to pay extra. I told them that’s not what Hotels.Com says and I was told they don’t honor that policy (it should’ve been in the fine print then). One worker stared at me and my guests until we got inside our room, which was very uncomfortable.

Room was great! The front desk experience was interesting.

Not much Not easy to get wheelchair in the doors. Could smell marijuana in the hallway. Bed was to high. Slid out onto the floor.

The ac unit was filthy and caused my friends asthma to act up. Dirty details.

We liked our one night stay. It's close to the airport, and very convenient after a late night arrival. The room was clean. The bed was clean and comfortable. It's an older place, but seems well maintained from what we could see. The air conditioner worked well, but did have a bit of a funky smell like they do in these places. It's the basic motel experience, which is what we expected.

The room and bathroom were clean, no issues there. There was no bath mat, we had to use a hand towel. The tub seemed slippery when wet, and there were no handholds or anything to grab if needed. The hair dryer didn't work, and the promised housekeeper never came to see about it after we inquired. The breakfast was a bit disappointing-- only cereal (two dry, some instant oatmeal), toast and apples were on offer, plus coffee and juice.

How convenient it was to stores and highway. The bed was not comfortable at all.

Desk person gave me 3 paper cups Nats Continuous nats

No front desk staff, had t I check in via a video booth. Room was dirty, bathroom was filthy, no continental breakfast provided besides coffee. Definitely not worth $112 for the night, would nm ot recommend at all
