Hampton Inn Memphis-Poplar

The room was very clean, but the hotel itself seems a little bit dated. Outside of that the staff was very nice and polite. Breakfast was great as well. Would def stay here again.

We were passing through Memphis and visiting a relative on the east side of town. The location worked well for us. The property is located nearby lots retail and food establishments.

Only reason I booked at this place was because it was close to work and it was suppose to have a pool. I was told the pool has been closed for over a month yet the website didnt reflect that. I was not the only guest upset about this.

Everything was fine. It was the location that was most beneficial for me.

8 cars had windows broken during my stay. A ninth car was out stolen. Property was worn and not very clean.

Breakfast was a joke. Nothing was hot. Everything was gone…….by 9:00.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, A/C worked great! Breakfast was kept stocked and very tasty! The decor could use some updating, but other than that, everything was on point! Would stay here again!

The hotel was in the middle of a populated area & felt safe. The breakfast was also really well done & the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The property is older and had a smell about it. But the room was very small and dirty. The hooks in the bathroom was broken, one of the handles on the dresser was broken and the entire cabinet was crooked. The floor had rice in the bathroom when we arrived & the outlets were so loose the chargers kept coming out if we moved while using devices plugged in

overall a great place to stay ...nice people and everything went well

When I checked in, I was charged an extra $75.00 deposit (I still don't know why, but it was refunded). I could not believe the pool and gym were not open in June. I would have gone somewhere else with a pool, had I known that. When I told my sister about the deposit and pool, she cancelled her reservation. She stayed at a hotel down the street.

Friendly staff The pool was closed, the breakfast was poor selections, the room was dirty, the couch cushion had a big stain.

It was our understanding that the hotel had changed management, while staff were pleasant, there were just somethings we observed, the fan in the bathroom was low, there was no trash can in the bathroom, no cream for coffee the the room, the elevator lights didn’t work, the breakfast buffet area were guest stand in line was congested, sausage was dry and like rubber, food and condiments needed to be monitored just to remain full.

Pool and fitness center have been down for maintenance the entire stay. No guest laundry. Everything else was fine.

This hotel feels deserted in many aspects. Poorly maintained with dirty spots all over the sink and tub, worn out furniture and fading paints in all walls, none of elevator buttons lighting up, the list goes on and on. It takes 5-10 minutes to reach the staff, nowhere to even buy water, shampoo bottle empty, etc

Only thing was that pool was closed

Breakfast was hot and delicious. Consists of sausage, oatmeal, cereal, waffles, cheese omelette. Other items. Coffee is hot and tasty. Parking is gated around perimeter. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful!!! Major plus!!! Hotel does need renovations but I am not expecting 5 star hotel for the price.
