Love it love it!!!!!

The breakfast and service for breakfast was great. The staff made sure to keep checking in with us for refills on coffee and the variety of food was good! The hot tub was very spacious and relaxing, even if we couldn't get the jets to turn on. The pool was also nice! When leaving the elevator on our floor, we were met with heat, like the air was not working. It wasn't unbearable but it was uncomfortable. Our only other issue was not with the hotel itself, but the city needs to do something about the drag racing along the straight road leading to the church at the end. Our room had 240 on the left and this one street on the right. I completely expected the sound from 240 but that was very quiet. We heard cars/motorcycles on the opposite road racing until early morning hours.

Hotel was dirty. Mildew smell in some areas. Aside from the main lobby area, hotel is very dirty.

Room 113. The A/C return vent made a loud rattling noise, resulting in little rest at night. There was a strong, unpleasant smell on the first floor that resembled kerosene on the day of check-in. There was no smell in the room, only just off the elevator and in the hallway. The second day the smell seemed not as bad.

We had a group of 12 staying for a long weekend. After seeing a theater production, we arrived back at the hotel eager for a nightcap at the Lobby Bar. It was Saturday night, and we arrived at 10:45. The bar was closed (is it supposed to close at 11). We asked the front desk if we could order a nightcap through room service, and the answer was no. We then asked if there was a gift shop with refrigerated items like cans of beer, which common at Hampton hotels, (another Hilton property). No gift shop, no single service items available, no vending machines next to the ice machines. The only offering was soft drinks pulled from a mini-fridge next to the front desk for $3 each! The front desk staff was unapologetic. The hotel probably missed out on a $300 bar tab - plus tip - and didn't seem to understand that closing the Lobby Bar at 11 on a Saturday night is ridiculous! And this is supposed to be a full-service, flagship hotel for Hilton. Aside from that, parking is difficult, there is no bell staff to help with luggage, and the hotel looks "tired." Not worth the money!

When we arrived at Hilton Memphis, we were told they were overbooked and did not have a room available for us, even after accepting our payment. Nor were we notified before arrival this was an issue. We were sent across the street to a Marriott property, who did not provide the amenities we paid for at the Hilton. No refunds offered, no transportation provided to new location, no breakfast included at the marriott that we paid for at the Hilton. Very disappointing.
