Courtyard By Marriott Vanderbilt-West End

One thing I didn’t realize when booking is that the hotel is about 2–3 miles from the main stretch of Broadway. It’s a bit too far to walk comfortably, so we mostly took Ubers. On a normal day they were around $10–15 USD each way, but on the Fourth of July they were closer to $30–40 USD due to surge pricing, even for a very short drive. I also thought breakfast was included with our stay, but it wasn’t, so that’s something to double-check when booking if that’s important to you. The pool was clean and well maintained, although there aren’t many lounge chairs, so you’ll want to get there early if you want one. The gym was decent, and it was nice having both a restaurant/bar and a small market in the lobby for convenience. There are also several restaurants within walking distance. The beds were very comfortable, and overall I’d rate the stay 7/10. If you don’t mind being a short Uber ride from Broadway, it’s a solid option.

The hotel was very clean. Very average for the money, I wouldn’t bother staying here again as you can get a lot nicer for the money. The bar is extortionate and facilities should be more accessible for the money. No courtesy room on check out so had to book another hotel for a shower. Pool area is terrible and no drinks available not even a vending machine.

We liked that it was not downtown with all the noise and bussell Our stay was ruined when a cockroach ran across my foot when I entered the bathroom. The front desk was helpful and sent someone to deal with the situation but my partner had to physically go down to reception to ask for a room move (at 11pm) instead of automatically being offered one. We also recommended that the room be fumigated as we were on the 8th floor so it was likey the plumbing had been compromised and held many other cockroaches.

It was a clean place to stay. Close to restaurants and bars.

The location The room was dirty,Only 1 working elevator, valet tried to over charge us,along with problems with their valet app. It was a nightmare

Very spacious rooms, great air con, clean rooms on arrival. Walking distance to broadway too which is a bonus. Our room wasn’t cleaned for 6 days. I had asked the cleaners twice for fresh towels. Neither time were there towels restocked. Bed and towels got changed on Saturday and we checked out on Sunday. We checked in on Monday. My card was also accidentally charged 3 transactions at $150+ each. Which were thankfully refunded but not the best holiday experience having money removed from your card.
