Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nashville West End - Univ Area by IHG

The property was very clean. The rooms were really nice and the hotel staff was very friendly. They also provided you a shuttle that brought you to Broadway. I wish the shuttle ran a little bit later cut off times were kind of early and the other issue was that there are different holiday ends and the shuttle stopped at each one of them and it only fits 12 people so it would be nice if they had a shuttle for each holiday and location

The free breakfast was good, room was very nice, clean and comfortable. When booking it could have been a little more upfront about a couple of things. First of all I booked through booking.com and there was no mention of the fact that A) there was a $150 incidental deposit and B) my options for parking were to pay $54 per day for valet or take my chances and park in the street.

Best beds ever and I know this is odd but even the height of the toliets were great !

Close to downtown great breakfast and the staff was awesome. We used the valet parking and those guys were the best. Check in day it was pouring rain first time there and truly we not given directions. We didn’t know how the elevators where the pool was located on the third floor thanks to the very gentleman working at the front. I know Saturday was busy as first time they should gave us more information. Especially when it came to the elevator.

Our room smelled like wet towels & wet dogs! We booked two rooms next to each other. That didn't happen. Ended on separate floors. We got raped on parking fees & other hidden fees when checking in. Never again at this Holiday inn!

I was not expecting the valet parking, which is really a must to protect your vehicle. The valet staff was very courteous and friendly. I would stay there again.

Missed a room visit on the 3rd day. Was ok but did need towels. Service appeared mid morning the next day and did a good job

The bad: the front desk staff were horrible and rude. The alcohol they advertise in the lobby: l the wine was empty the entire stay. The only way to get a beer is to load your room card, you cannot use a credit card. To load your room card you have to go to the reception desk and with only one person working ,you can imagine how long the wait was. Overall maybe I would stay again...but the front desk needs to have more staff... and the ones they have could have better manners.They dont put water out until 1pm, when I asked for water at noon ( I was in the lobby), I was told I could buy it. It is water, not a big deal why not have it out after breakfast?? This hotel has potential but dont expect 5 star treatment thats for sure.

Brand new, fantastical hotel with gym, pool and excellent breakfast. Everything was great.

Location They didn’t have a room for me when I arrived and the room I was given smelt like damp

Checkin was quick, room clean.

Room was super clean, the breakfast was great, the staff was so kind, felt extremely safe. Loved the 3 pm check in! Didn’t love the valet parking only. Free shuttle to broadway until 11 pm was useful, but not so much from broadway back to hotel. Will be staying here again!
