Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nashville West End - Univ Area by IHG

Had a great stay at this hotel the staff was great.

Loved this place. The front desk staff were lovely and gave very good recommendations for the area. There is a shuttle bus available also however I can't give any info on this as it's available after 11am and I never used it. One morning I also went down too late for breakfast and the kitchen staff were amazing and still allowed me to have items that weren't taken away yet. I'd highly recommend here!

The sinks water pressure was very low (barely more than a trickle). At least there was hot water. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Bourbonaisse, IL on the same trip. We no hot water at the sink during our three night stay. Maintenance said they would have to order the part. I was not informed at any time that the hotel was being renovated. What a mess... construction materials and workers everywhere. The Holiday Inns were big disappointment, and I think I'm done with them.

Front desk clerk wasn't thrilled that we had used 3rd party, to book room. She put us directly across from the elevators.

It is an excellent place to stay. The facilities are excellent well kept and excellent security. I definitely recommend staying here.

Don’t count on the valet service to be timely or efficient. The service is supposedly available 24 hours per day. At 4:50AM I notified the valet service I needed my car brought to me. I had to be at a nearby hospital at 5:30AM to check in for surgery. Not until 5:15AM did my car arrive. (According to the valet service text, I was number one in que to get my vehicle !) When the valet driver did arrive, he reeked of marijuana.

Otherwise, the hotel was beautiful, clean, and the breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Valet parking rate was very high.

Older property. Trash under bed. Dirt in bathroom. AC leaked a puddle of water in our room. Other than it was okay. I've stayed in many HIE properties and this one is is on the low end. Thank goodness we used Waymo and Uber - had we rented a car the "Valet Parking" fee was crazy. One nice thing - they have 24/7 coffee machine in the lobby. Cannot recommend.
