What a great stay, super friendly staff

Parking free and on site. Good strong coffee in room. Big bathroom by NY standard and we loved the robes and slip-ons. 4th floor King room was perfect. The Cellar space was enjoyable, serene with comfortable seating. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Wish there was a new robe available for purchase. A bench or two out front would be good. Recommended to friends already. Thank you 42 Hotel!!

The hotel is very clean, from the rooms to the restaurant. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The one downfall is the fitness area. It is very small and some of the equipment does not work. There weren’t towels or wipes in the workout facility.

I booked this for a weekend trip to Brooklyn and it was perfect. There was surprisingly a good a mount of street parking in the immediate vicinity; the room was clean and decently sized for New York; the staff was helpful; there's a restaurant on site that I didn't try but seemed to be a fun vibe; and it's right next to a train stop so you can maneuver through the city easily. Only thing I'd say was missing is they don't have one of those snack shops so if you have late night cravings you'll have to go outside and find a bodega.

Clean, very modern/chic in appearance and decor. Complimentary mini-bottle of wine greeted us in the room. Nifty reading lights installed above the bed. Friendly staff—they helped us plan our return trip to the airport. Very close to three subway lines, (M, J, G) making it easy to get out and do some sightseeing. Meanwhile, there are some very good cafe and bar options in the immediate neighborhood so it can be a quick walk to breakfast in the morning or back to the hotel after a night out.

Great location, helpful friendly staff, nicely appointed room, couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Some night noise from road , you need earplugs if you are a lighter sleeper , rooms at back of building would be better. Found overall surrounding area didn’t feel that safe however so close to train and the M train will take you all the way to Midtown Manhattan . Great for trains from Hewes St station . Didn’t venture out for local restaurant's. Overall if you can’t afford to stay in Manhattan it’s a nice quiet hotel with easy quick access to city .

42 Hotel was outstanding. Very nice and well maintained, and especially an extremely helpful and friendly staff. They went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable.

Area not centrally located

Nice place, good location, not a bad view from our room

Only one drawback it can be a little loud so bring earbuds.

Breakfast takes a long time, one server takes 10 minutes to bring your coffee, however another one is prompt and quick in service.. dont have their names..

Modern hotel in a well located area, somewhat let down by the front reception staff who seemed a little bored and disengaged

Great location, easy to use. Staff was cool and helpful. Bar downstairs was unimportant and kind of a mess staff wise. Not cheap but worth it. Location was key. Would definitely stay there again!
