Great hotel with very friendly staff, welcoming feel. Larger room than what you will find in the area for about the same price. Large, completely separate bathroom (another place we stay has side by side shower/toilet with glass doors--a bit weird). I would not recommend the breakfast here-it was terrible.

Front the desk don’t answer the phone they put you on hold hang up the call I was call for two charge on my credit card don’t help you!!!

Breakfast was amazing, found a half filled water bottle in the room that was used, room service was not that good.

Nice hotel

Proximity to metro was a bonus, as was baggage storage on day of departure. Staff very helpful. Room was large. Extremely comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay and clean

Awesome beds - very comfortable. Loved the wine and chocolates in the room. And the dining room was great. Close to subway for access to NYC.

Clean, convenient to the subway, neighbor not scary, breakfast downstairs.

I never heard about 42 Hotel before but it exceeded my expectations from the kindness of the staff to making sure it feels like a five star hotel stay. If you like wine there is complimentary wine and the complimentary breakfast was also great. The only downside I had to my stay is that the restaurant really doesn't have any vegan options. But I really, it is the best stay that we ever had at a hotel. The location was also a plus. It feels tucked away but still very much connected to everything if you need it. I wish the restaurant had vegan options and maybe there could be a more reasonable deal for the parking other than $50/day but I am grateful that the parking around the hotel was great though

The free breakfast was great as well. We had a choice of different dishes cooked hot by the kitchen, omelettes or pancakes or eggs any way. No avocado toast, I think it wasn't avocado season. The server in the dining room was very friendly and helpful as well, and brought us plenty of coffee and ice water to stock up our bottles for the day. This hotel has lots of nice touches, like prosecco set out in the lobby every evening, and just the best staff ever.

What a great stay, super friendly staff

Parking free and on site. Good strong coffee in room. Big bathroom by NY standard and we loved the robes and slip-ons. 4th floor King room was perfect. The Cellar space was enjoyable, serene with comfortable seating. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Wish there was a new robe available for purchase. A bench or two out front would be good. Recommended to friends already. Thank you 42 Hotel!!

The hotel is very clean, from the rooms to the restaurant. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The one downfall is the fitness area. It is very small and some of the equipment does not work. There weren’t towels or wipes in the workout facility.

I booked this for a weekend trip to Brooklyn and it was perfect. There was surprisingly a good a mount of street parking in the immediate vicinity; the room was clean and decently sized for New York; the staff was helpful; there's a restaurant on site that I didn't try but seemed to be a fun vibe; and it's right next to a train stop so you can maneuver through the city easily. Only thing I'd say was missing is they don't have one of those snack shops so if you have late night cravings you'll have to go outside and find a bodega.

Modern look, welcoming and cordial staff in the lobby. Room was well serviced daily. Concern that the front desk was sometimes vacant and anyone could walk in and access the elevator…so some laxity in security. I had to go to Blackbird to get hot water in the morning and night (beverage); the room coffee machine would not dispense just hot water. I was unimpressed by the restaurant. Once someone had to wake up the bartender to serve me. At breakfast, the service was slow and incomplete. I suspect training e the issue as the server was very kind.
