Fantastic location in Williamsburg Expensive for size of room

Great location and value. Manish at the front desk was excellent.

Super comfortable room, small but had everything I needed. Great location and very friendly staff. The bed was also very comfortable. It’s possible to even get a fridge, kettle or other extras if you ask at the reception, free of charge. Was also surprised that it was quieter than I imagined. Will definitely come back again! A few minor things, the shower leaked a bit into some floor boards, it didn’t impact my stay but it needs mending. Otherwise maybe the rooms need a little refurbishing here and there but nothing has a negative impact on my stay!

My partner and I stayed in the standard Queen room for 3 nights because the price of hotels was so high the weekend that we visited. This place was not worth the $400+/night that we paid for it. I understand the compact "pod" for NYC, but the toilet in the shower did not work for us. If the wet toilet wasn't enough of a frustration, the floor of the shower/toilet area was moldy and the shower would randomly dispense water, making the floor wet 100% of the time. Other than the room, the facilities and the staff were nice. Would only stay here again if I was desperate and alone.

Good response from the staff very attentive I had an issue with the first room which had just been painted and smelled of fresh paint but the staff was very understanding and changed my room as soon as I complained

Rooms were small, but expected for NY with reasonable pricing. Bed was comfortable. Shower had hot/cold water with a waterfall shower head and handheld shower. Toilet was inside the shower which was different, but they also have clean private restrooms in the lobby accessible with hotel card. Staff was responsive and helpful. Housekeeping came daily to ensure everything was tidy and stocked during our visit. Location was amazing, approx. a 5 min walk to metro and some bus stops. Walking distance to many different restaurants and shops in Williamsburg.

Exceptional

Short walk to nearest subway station. Friendly staff. Private room, not much disturbance. Room is basic, but just what you need. Nice shampoo and soap provided. I did ask for not every day cleaning as I was staying for a week. We agreed 'every other day cleaning'. However, my room was then cleaned on the very first day (Monday after checking in on Sunday late afternoon), and only again on Saturday. Nothing on Thursday or Friday as I would have expected.

The room felt like a prison cell, with metal furniture and "curtains," a stall that had both the toilet and shower that was actually sort of see through, just frosted glass, so my daughter and I had to look away not to see each other in the shower. It felt like they were giving you the "novelty" of living in a prison block--and rooms were even organized in "blocks." It was a cross between a college dorm and a prison, it seemed. Not comfortable at all. I had the bottom bunk, and thankfully I am short, so I could sit up on it. My daughter could not. It's not the kind of room in which you can relax at all, and it was stormy outside. There were two tv's, one on each bunk, but there was no way you could watch both and hear a program. I'm nervous about roaches, so I put a reading light on as a nightlight, and you could see all the dust buildup between the bunks and the wall. My sheets seemed washed, but had some sort of stain. We had relatives stay across the bridge at a different hotel that was the same price we paid, and it was a lot nicer, with separate beds and a balcony. I'll be staying there next time. The one good thing - the location was great. Very central.

Perfect

The POD hotel is perfect in size for the price you pay. It is affordable and located in my favorite area of Brooklyn. The rooms are small but have everything you need, my room was quiet, everything worked seamlessly, the staff were very friendly and helpful and overall just the perfect place to be if you are looking for an affordable hotel in a great walkable location. ;) I liked everything.
