Greta location, atmosphere
-
Very clean and a nice place to stay.

Staff upon check in VERY rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. I only hope these staff experience the same when they personally travel. Was the biggest let down of this trip. Will visit NY again but NOT this hotel. Owners should know how their staff represent the hotel so poorly. All of this was unnecessary and unprofessional. More so absolutely unacceptable for people in this type of industry! Room doesn’t look anything like picture. Dark all day.

Great location! Helpful and very pleasant staff!

We loved our stay here! The staff were all friendly, the hotel has a really nice ambience, and our room was clean! The location is perfect, as it’s not in a very busy area. Loved the cafe in the hotel as well! Would definitely book the hotel again in the future.

It was fine

It’s a little commute from the activities (Times Square) about 16-20 mins by taxi and roughly $15-$18 in cost but away from the chaos on a quieter side and with every penny!!

Superb

Location was great only 5 minutes walk to the Dakota Building and the John Lennon memorial in Central Park. The hotel is the right size. Not too large or too small I liked everything
-
Location and service WiFi connection in the room and hotel lobby areas was very poor.
-
Smart hotel with cozy cafe in lobby and a library, as well, for casual hang out. Perfect location on the Upper West Side - easy access to Broadway, Central Park, and can get to the Upper East Side easily by bus/taxi/Uber. Highly recommend this hotel.

Reception staff not knowledgeable and not helpful. They did not know how to read Expedia bookings and charged incorrectly even after receipt was shown. After some days I am still double charged and they simply responded to Expedia that their manager is not there so they’re not able to help. Ridiculous!

Ok
-
Air con didn’t work properly Lights didn’t work properly No fridge Room pretty basic for a 4 star (not like the photos with the balcony) more like a comfort inn
-
Four elevators and 'inhouse' Italian restaurant and café is very nice.w Internet is so bad and slow and logs you off several times a day. Not good enough.

There were bedbugs on the mattress. I got bit several times at night, in the morning sure enough I found the bug. I put it in a napkin and took it to the front desk where they said they'll send it to the lab to get more information. The next day, on a Saturday, they called and said it was not a bedbug. After my own research and based on the bites I was assured that it was in fact a bedbug. My entire trip was ruined and I had to move to another hotel.

Great stay at the Arthouse hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The main area of the hotel is lovely and well maintained with attentive staff. Will def be staying there again!

Bathroom ceiling tiles caving in. Floor and surfaces unclean and sticky in spots.

Big room and great location near Central Park, the subway, restaurants, markets stores and the rest of manhattan really if you like walking! Beautiful buildings and so many delicious, fresh bagel stores, which we lived. Handy little gym with two treadmills - small but all you need for a quick workout while travelling. Busy bar/ restaurant/ cafe area and function room downstairs playing the World Cup. Friendly check in staff room. I like the water fountains on each floor so I could refill my bottle every night and not ask for water all the time. Nothing!
