The Lucerne Hotel

Location is fabulous. Room was clean.

Had to go out for decent coffee. There are not a lot of hotel options Upper West Side. We have stayed at Art House before which is good also. Much better lobby experience coffee and entertainment. Very good Italian dinning next door.

The slowest elevators that I have ever experienced. Wish there was better coffee for the room. Had to go out for morning coffee It was hot and the air-conditioning was great.

We upgraded to a little suite which was nice, but it could have used a couch (instead of just 2 chairs). Very handy to have a kitchenette. The neighborhood and location is excellent. Easy walking distance to Central Park, Riverside Park, Museum of Natural History, and several subway lines. Clean, safe, pleasant, good rates. I would definitely stay here again.

Great, quiet location. We were in town for Yankees games and this was a great spot outside the usual city bustle but close for a quick subway ride to the Bronx.

We stayed at The Lucerne for 6 nights with our teen boys. We had the queen suite room & it was perfect. The extra sitting room was perfect when we had down time & allowed us to spread out. The staff were always incredibly friendly. The location was also wonderful. Staying in the UWS allowed us to stay in the city but away from the business of midtown. The train was at the corner at the other end of the block. Central Park is 2 blocks away, as is the Museum of Natural History. We will definitely return to The Lucerne!

Location was perfect easy access to the subway system. Great area to walk in and wonderful places to eat close to the hotel.

Very happy with my one night at the Lucerne. It was a last minute booking but while the rooms are definitely dated, they are charming, clean and the beds are very comfortable. My room faced north on the 9th floor and it was totally quiet. It is also a great location. Cons- hallways have an older smell, and the elevators and small and slow. No fridge in room. Pros- cleanliness, comfort and location.

We were on an upper floor, so it was nice and quiet. Nice sized suite. Enjoyed the Nice Matin, the hotel's restaurant, for Sunday brunch, a really nice amenity. The air conditioning in the living room of our suite did not work but the front desk got it repaired right away. The elevators were a bit slow. The staff, front desk, doormen, housekeeping were excellent.

I loved this hotel. It has old fashioned personal service, something seriously lacking everywhere these days. It was clean, comfortable and in a great location. I had my 6 year old grandsons with me and there was no trouble at all finding kid friendly restaurants nearby. I wish it had a microwave.

Love this hotel! Great location and the suites are really nice!

The room was clean and the house keepers replaced towels and made the bed each day as needed. The front desk and bell man answered all questions and took care of all of our needs. It was a wonderful stay.
