Excellent stay

The receptionist was AWESOME, the whole vibe of the hotel was impeccable - very old world - everything was clean, classy, and wonderful! Nothing to dislike - it was great!
-
Beautiful hotel, historic landmark building with a wonderful bar. Helpful staff, great location in the UWS, close to lots of great stuff including Central Park and Riverside Park.
-
Go inside tight and when you try to take it was full every time. So I had to take the stairs if don't want to wait a long time. With luggage very hard.

The location was fantastic and the breakfast vouchers were incredible. As was the bar!

We had an amazing time in NYC. The hotel was amazing, has that vintage style but the rooms inside are renovated. Staff were amazing as well very helpful, always there to greet us with beautiful smiles. We would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay and the location. Beautiful, historic hotel with a great French bakery- cafe in the lobby.
-
Great location. Staff very helpful. A little update would help but overall very nice.

Location was great! A little off the beaten path, not touristy at all. $10 voucher for breakfast was a nice plus…. Breakfast at the cafe was amazing, very fresh and delicious They only had white wine for happy hour when I am on my a red wine drinker. Most places serve both a red and a white and when I asked the bartender he said “that’s what we have” Not really an accommodating comment. Actually didn’t like that at all, however Benedict made things right and for that, I would stay again

I liked how friendly the staff were and how responsive housekeeping was. The sheets were great and so were the towels. Umbrellas on a rainy evening were great. The location was good too. Near Zabar's, a grocery store, the Amsterdam Ale House and the subway. Plenty of restaurants and attractions close by. The Upper West Side is safe and not very touristy. Interesting old buildings everywhere. Close to two great museums and Central Park. I booked a deluxe two queen room for six nights and the hotel gave us a very small room on the lowest floor with one dark window on an airshaft. This room should have only had one queen bed in it. I complained and they said that they were full that night but they did move us to a better room on the 7th floor for the remaining five nights. The doorman also told be I could use a hotel SUV for our family to ride to Newark airport for $120 which was about what I paid for an UberXL to get there. I booked that for our departure only to learn that it was an extra 10% to use a credit card. It put a very bad taste in my mouth.

We stayed four nights in August when we moved our youngest into college. It was a friendly, clean, beautiful hotel. The added bonus of the bakery next door was spectacular, we ate there every day. Very convenient to public transportation, quick Uber pickups, and not as crowded as the Times Square area hotels. I would definitely stay there again.

Maria and the other fine lady were both very helpful, and it was a nice experience.
-
Excellent location, nice stuff You get 10 $ for breakfast in voucher to redeem at a bakery, I did not expect that, maybe this information was provided somewhere but I couldn’t see it. So you paid for breakfast and still you have to pay sth to it every day because 10$ doesn’t cover the whole breakfast :(

Location is close to my daughter and son-in-law close to central park, and easy to get downtown The add-on Facilities Fees AND taxes.

Staff were very helpful and housekeeping was excellent. Location was very good and hotel was surprisingly quiet. Only one chair and very little space in “deluxe king” room. Window offered a view of a brick wall about 10’ away. Bathroom was quite small.
