Location is AMAZING! S’mores by the campfire were a bonus When it’s windy it’s nosey in the tent, but nothing I didn’t like about the property

Paid for the room via Expedia, was charged again at the hotel. It’s been 2 weeks now and I still haven’t heard back on the refund.

Not until the reservation was made did they share the severe accessibility restrictions with getting to the island and accessing the yurt. Zero tolerance refund policy which means it was a bait and switch since there were zero instructions prior to booking. RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!

The property itself was beautiful and had a lot of potential, but unfortunately, the experience was significantly impacted by the staff. The service was disappointing, and we found the staff to be unhelpful and unfriendly throughout our stay. It’s a shame because the hotel is a nice property, but the level of service really took away from the overall experience.

Staff were super friendly and food was amazing. Unfortunately there was construction going on during my stay right behind the tents which made the experience not as enjoyable.

Incredible place for a late summer stay and spa get-away minutes from Manhattan. Will definitely be back!

The property was beautiful. It takes a while for concerirge to pick up the phone, but otherwise staff was very polite and helpful. We had the pleasure of being picked up by Tonya and she was delightful. She was prompt, helpful and a sweetheart. She picked us up, showed us around the property, took us to the spa and was punctual picking us up.We will be back!

My experience at Collective Retreats on Governors Island was unfortunately not as enjoyable as I had hoped. The location is beautiful, but I was unable to sleep well because the bed was somewhat uncomfortable. Around 4:00 a.m., construction trucks and loud construction activity started, which made it very difficult to rest. I think the experience would have been better if the staff had informed guests in advance that construction work was taking place, especially during the early morning hours. Knowing this beforehand would have allowed me to set my expectations accordingly. Overall, I think the location has a lot of potential, but the lack of sleep and unexpected construction noise significantly affected my stay.

What a simply magical New York experience. The staff are amazing and clearly love their jobs and make every guest feel that way. We are New Yorkers and this was just a summer escape from the routine and it was addicting. Thank you.

Fantastic experience. Staff is nice and helpful but seem a bit haphazard or untrained? Any way mostly all great just seemed a little bit unsupervised or something. Overall lovely
