DoubleTree by Hilton New York Downtown

Overall stay was good. Room was clean, staff were helpful. However, the elevators are SO SLOW. When you enter on Stone St you have to wait on an elevator to get to reception to check in. Also, the live TV channels are a little off. The guide would indicate a TV channel such as HGTV and a specific show eg my lottery dream home however when you clicked on it another show would be playing such as ugliest house in America. This type of thing happened several times. Otherwise the hotel met my need.

Great stay overall and location needed up being very convenient for several routes and easy walks to a couple of things as well

I loved staying here the front desk staff is nice. They tell you everything upfront and there are no hidden fees. Way better service and facility than the 234 Gallivant Times Square,

Pleasant

Loved the location! Subway was really close and some of the facilities we wanted to see was within walking distance. The facilities it offered ie gym, laundry and mini market was great. Room was really small for a party of four and needs more elevators. That was important considering the amount of foot traffic there was.

The staff were really nice, we did get a top floor with a good view. Convenient to the World Trade Center Museum,and the ferries to Statue of Liberty and Ellis island. No where to pull up to really unload car, no onsite parking, really loud neighbors at night one night and didn’t get a good sleep. Not a lot of food choices to just grab from.

Wonderful view of the Hudson river, and very close to subways. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Windows need to be better insulated. We could hear everything happening on the street below. The air conditioning was very loud, as well.

Nothing, this hotel should not be classed as a double tree, its facilities are more like a holiday in. It was terrible

Convenient to Wall Street and FiDi, helpful staff and comfy pillows!

It was one of those situations where we endured it and said we'd laugh about it later. I thought about not leaving a review, but if I can prevent one other otherwise uninformed person from staying here, it was worth my time.

The quietness of the hotel, very big room for NY standards and most importantly very big comfortable bed. Maybe just Maybe the lift was a wee bit slow. But that's not a negative really. Only observation
