Hampton Inn Manhattan/Downtown-Financial District

Pretty good/safe area. Close to food, subway, and ferries

Great location for exploring financial district. Two short blocks from subway and battery park very nice. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room a little larger than other locations and bed comfortable. No mini fridge however. Breakfast marginal… only sausage and a strange fried egg for protein. Would stay there again if wanted to be away from midtown.

Also, the staff was very helpful. The bathroom’s door was somewhat weird and wasn’t fully closing.

The location was great, walking distance to almost everything (Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, 9/11 Memorial, Madison Square Garden), short hop on the subway and your in Time Square

Good location, clean room, friendly staff N/a

The do not disturb sign fell off the door knob every time I opened or closed the door. A better system needs to be developed for that placard so that it stays on the door. The shower head in room 409 is not properly attached to the wall. NICK was available when I checked in. His service was exceptional. Everyone else with whom I briefly spoke during my stay was cordial, but NICK was very very helpful. I only saw him the night that I checked in.

Staff checkin was great. Room is rather tiny (it's NYC after all) but big enough for us. Great location for downtown activities.

Loved the location since we there for 2 nights but only one full day. We attended a party in Brooklyn and also did the Statue of Liberty tour — very convenient location plus I love the charm of FiDi! Also, we enjoyed the free breakfast. Although, this was the first Hampton that didn’t have gluten free bagels. The first room they gave us didn’t have any windows and was stuffy. It did not at all match the photo of the type of room I selected. I asked for a different room. The room they gave us was on the 2nd floor, street side and each night I was awoken by loud garbage trucks or people yelling. Walls were very thin.

We had a great stay and breakfast was good.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I frequent New York City often (lived in the city for years and still come regularly for both business and leisure) and I am very pleased with this hotel. It was well kept and the staff is very friendly. Will definitely stay here again soon.

The rooms are a good size—small but not crowded. They offer a free continental breakfast in a cozy dining room, where the food is tasty and warm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are also many places to eat nearby, ranging from budget eateries to fine restaurants. The area is highly convenient, safe to walk in during the evening, and public transport is just steps away!
