Hampton Inn Manhattan/Downtown-Financial District

All the pillows in my room were very thin and flat. THe breakfast eggs tasted like powdered eggs. I would say. I usually love hampton inn. I guess the property in NYC Needs some help!

I've stayed in many hotels in New York City and in Brooklyn, but this was one of my favorites. The location was convenient, the property was well-maintained, the cost was competitive, and the staff was excellent. I'll be staying here again next time I travel to New York.

The location was great for me, close to downtown and subway system. I felt it was in a very safe areas as well. The lobby was unbelievably hot and humid though, not sure their air conditioning was working. The free breakfast was not great. I cannot understand why powdered eggs are always served instead of real eggs. I know they had real eggs because they also served hard-boiled eggs. Powdered eggs have no taste, are runny, and completely unappetizing. The coffee was good and they had yogurt. My room was decently sized for a NY hotel and clean, however, the mattress was old and needed to be replaced. It had no support left and I even advised them of that and I got the usual response: "we will notify our team", which means they will do nothing about it. I am an Honors member and I have usually found that Hilton properties have great mattresses, so that is why I always choose them. After this experience with the horrible mattress (had a back ache all weekend and didn't sleep well), I may have to check out Marriott properties in the future.

If I could give this hotel more than five stars, I would. I stayed at several hotels in New York City and this one just takes the cake. It might not be the most expensive or luxurious hotel you’ll stay at but it was absolutely perfect. From the minute I checked in into the moment I checked out the front desk staff were beyond helpful and extremely kind. They truly made our experience exceptional. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. Will definitely be rebooking this hotel next time we come in to the city. 25/5 stars. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

This place was nothing like what I expected. It was basically just a bed to sleep in, and it wasn’t even cheap. I paid $370 for a room, and I couldn’t believe the poor quality for that price. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my stay and definitely would not come back to this hotel again.
