Location, clean, ease of check in and parking. The breakfast was a ham and cheese sandwich that my husband who can eat anything found inedible, the coffee was undrinkable.

Staff ok, breakfast marginal, poor amenities, basement room, small room, security on door broken. Don’t book here!

Don't like that this will charge triple when a cruise ship is in port. But off peak is reasonable. Didn't like that the dead bolt on the door didn't even have a hole for the stem to run into. Made us feel real safe with just the throw lock. Specially in NYC. The shower water pressure sucks. Toilet height is made for garden gnomes. It was so low. Loved walking barefooted on that floor. Never again. I'm sure there doing the best with what they got.

The staff was really helpful and good and the room was so clean and satisfied with it The people was really annoying in the other rooms was knocking the wall because saying they trying to sleep while the TV volume was really low I wasn't really comfortable with it I came to hotel to enjoy and rest not to been bothered and about the light room I hope you guys change it from yellow to white so the room will be more bright better than be little darker and I'm almost every two months in your hotel and I really like to stay in it I hope you can solve this problem and hope not to face it again

We had a room on third floor and room is a very good size, particularly for New York and the bed was big and comfortable! Room was clean and bottled water provided daily. I think it is very good value for money for Brooklyn/New York! Haven't stayed in red hook before but liked the neighborhood too - a bit industrial but there were also good restaurants and bars. Breakfast was fine (fruit, yoghurt, granola, a bagel) - we only had it one day as we preferred to eat out. Would stay here again, particularly given the price. The shower could be a bit better (stronger) but it was fine. Should be noted that it is about a 15-20 minute walk to the nearest train station and not an easy walk to do with heavy luggage. Although we took the bus to a station the day we had luggage to make it easier so it is manageable, just worth noting. Was closer to the ferry terminal though.

Proximity to the port and walkable to shopping food etc. We had an issue with it raining through the windowsill but we were moved in a timely manner to a different room.

I liked that it was a decent value for what it was, i.e. pretty much the only walkable hotel near Pioneer Works. The room, bathroom, hallways, and lobby were clean. The receptionist was helpful. I liked that you could enter through the side doors. I did not like the bed. I could feel every spring under my body. It was like the top padding was gone. The location, despite being close to Pioneer Works, was still shady as heck and I would not recommend walking it alone as a woman. Derelict industrial. The "city view" standard king provided a lovely 2nd floor view of the auto body shop yard next door, nothing of the skyline. I'd go back, but I certainly wouldn't pay extra for the view.

Great location for departing ship.

The transport networks around were straightforward & there were many choices even though the nearest subway was 20 min walk. The coffee machine was good but often did not get restocked so we had to ask. We were in a cellar room - room not particularly well maintained, especially the bathroom. The lack of carpet made the floor very noisy & at around 5:30am every morning the staff started pushing things up & down the corridor which woke us. Breakfast was very poor & one morning we arrived at 8:40 (breakfast served until 9:40) to be told they had run out - waited waited around for an hour as told more was on the way but then gave up. Management were emailed by reception staff & we received an email suggesting we got there earlier & refused to refund the cost as it was in the room rate - quite shocking given the cost & this hotel was chosen as it had breakfast offered & the reviews were very good but it appears the breakfast arrangements changed to “grab & go” recently & the reviews not reflect this poor offering- the content of the breakfast bag is not what you expect to be eating for breakfast. Housekeeping also missed as we were in the room until 10 & apparently if your sign is on the door when they come - they do not come back - they started knocking on doors before 7am - we’re on vacation!!

I just needed a spot to stay for the night and this place was super clean. There was an inline pre check in so checking in was a breeze. Minimal staff but everyone we met was great.

The only thing I can say needs improving is the elevator. It jerks way more than it should, but it does get lots of people up and down.
