My son’s family and I spent 2 nights at the Doxie last week. The accommodations were entirely adequate for us; it was affordable, we had a 2 room suite with 2 queens and a bunk set in an adjoining room. We basically used the rooms for sleeping and resting so the small room size was not a problem. The bathroom was clean with a good shower and beds were comfortable. We got clean towels on the 2nd day. The A/C was barely able to keep the room cool enough to sleep though. Other than that it was a good location and good value. I would stay there again but maybe not when the temps were hitting 100.

Air conditioning was loud and noisy the Wi-Fi was worthless and failed me !!!!

The staff were very helpful and nice. Store your luggage there is you're early or want to come back after checking out. We could see us booking this place again for a short stay.

Great location! Easy walking distance to Penn Station and Madison Square gardens.

Clean room, a bit small. Very helpful staff and near to everything. So overall great location

Dog themes It was all a bit run down.

Rooms were clean and well appointed for the size with fun decor that evoked nyc and made the most of a small space and thoughtful touches that anticipated guest needs. Bathroom was well laid out and a good size given the size of the room. Rooms were very dark so good for sleeping. Staff was very helpful and kind. Rooms were very small and felt almost dorm-like. It’s an old building with a tiny elevator and tiny stairs and shows its age. The room didn’t have true windows except for a small one in the bathroom, so felt very closed in.

It was close to everything in midtown and that is the *only plus. We were in the city during a heat spell and the air conditioner in the room was a joke. It never got cool and we were uncomfortable the entire stay, barely slept. The filter on the unit was so dirty no air was even able to pass through. The bunk beds felt like they were ready to collapse and the door on the bathroom was broken and did not latch. We were pretty unhappy considering how much we paid per night. Won't return.

Great location in the middle of Manhattan, close to Times Square and the main streets. The staff is very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The rooms are too small and cramped. It was very tight for three people with a bunk bed + regular bed. There is also no useful furniture, like shelves or racks, to store clothes and bags.

Not a very good hotel, pics not accurate of quality

Check in fine, staff friendly, rooms smaller than photos show and could do with refreshing/updating. Booked cab at reception to take to airport but never arrived and no real evidence of booking so had to wander street at 4.45 in the morning to hail a cab, place is very central but overall OK

The staff was friendly and it was an adorable place. No need to bring soaps they have them It is a small place. That is the only fault

Room was small, but worked perfectly fine for a quick stay. Clean room and lobby. Decent sized bathroom and shower. The staff was very nice, efficient and accommodating. They upgraded us to a larger room, which ended up being convenient to have the extra bed. It’s located nearby Times Square and walkable to many nearby restaurants, bars, and subways. Would recommend for price, location, and a quick stay as a solo traveler or a couple.
