Great location. Modern and we'll designed. Dirty rooms. Noisy air conditioned. Despite having available rooms they do not let us in at 1pm. They asked for additional 75 usd. No cold water in the room, only very hot. No streaming service on TV!

Our first room had a bad smell and the cleaning staff just showed up with a can of febreeze. So we had them change our room. The next day, another family had the same issue with their room smelling. So, something is amiss on at least one of the floors, and febreeze is just a bandaid.

The staff at this hotel were amazingly helpful. Due to numerous flight cancellations they went above and beyond helpful with helping me to rebook hotels and dealing with Expedia.

When we complained about it, all they did, giving us a room on a Lower level with more noise and interruptions!! I had to pack everything and go to another room! No accommodation at all!!

The location is great. Plugs in the rooms didn’t work. The front desk guy who worked in the evening was NOT friendly and had an attitude. He did not have a friendly customer service personality. I was not impressed the rest of the staff was nice.

The hotel is right in the middle of Times Square. Great location to walk around and see the sights. The staff was excellent, helpful in giving idea for your trip and directions if needed. Their restaurant was good, food was great and service was great. The bad, hot water ran out on our last day there. But returned later that day. In the middle of the night the fire alarm came on and people panic ( we were on the 32nd floor). After five minutes an announcement came and said it was a false alarm. The hotel is on 42nd Street, one of the busiest streets in Manhattan, because of Times Square. Of coarse, everything is higher in price in New York, so don’t be surprised.( the vendors on the corners were selling hot dogs for $6.00 dollars a piece.) Overall, I would stay at this hotel again, unless you didn’t want to be in the thick of things. There our plenty of hotel choices in Manhattan, depending on your preferences. The subways are close by too.

The staff was extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and beyond customer friendly. I will highly rate the Hilton Garden Inn at 136 42nd St., New York City. Outstanding Facilities, the team is impeccable.
