Great Location right in the heart of NYC!
-
Location is excellent, staff are extremely helpful and very accommodating, ( I had a serious health issue and they went out of their way to show kindness) breakfast vouchers work really well and you have several options of venue, rooms are variable so try for higher floor if possible and quieter location. I would recommend this hotel for the helpfulness and friendliness of staff, proximity to the centre of everything and how easy it is to walk or get a subway to where you are going.

Upon arrival, our room needed attention and looked like it had not been included. However, I went down to talk to hotel management staff. In the middle of rush-hour check-in, the staff check-in manager, as well as a representative, personally followed us to the room, saw the condition the room was in and immediately took action. Not only did they have housekeeping re-clean the room while they were present, they also assured us to relocate us in the morning to a new room. They also comped our room for a night as well as upgraded our state to a better queen plus room with the New York City, View. I highly recommend this hotel!!! not everyone is perfect. People do have mistakes however they took personal action in making sure that this trip was not only a success, a memorable one, but also the best experience possible. I highly recommend this staff and I am very grateful for all the blessed my family with.

It’s old but very clean

The hotel is full of friendly staff, it’s clean and the rooms are comfortable (king bed room). The location is super convenient to Times Square, Theater District, and many other attractions. We love to walk so did so again but this time down the Hudson River side. Hudson River Park was amazing, walking by all the athletic facilities, kids water parks, green spaces, Little Island and the multitude of spaces/venues on the piers. Will definitely recommend and return again.

Hotel location was great. Steps from Time Square and the theater district. The room was decent size relative to NYC expectations. The staff was very friendly and specifically Franklin the doorman was beyond helpful. The only complaint I may make is there are no mini fridges in the room. You need to request one for 30.00. Not the end of the world but figured that would be included in a 700.00 a night room

Convenient location

Enjoyed our stay

The aircon system needs upgrading too. It’s On or Off and when it’s On, it’s full speed like a jet engine with no way to regulate it so it’s also really noisy. Bathrooms are tiny. One saving grace was the staff.

My first time in New York, I got an upgrade and the staff was amazing.

The Hotel Edison is located in a prime spot near Times Square. It is an older, but well-maintained property and the staff are generally helpful and kind. The rooms are small and quite outdated, especially the tiny bathroom which doesn't even have towel racks or counter space. The TV's are fine but the WiFi went out late one night in the middle of the show we were streaming. We also had an issue with the toilet not working the morning we were checking out and they took a while to fix it which delayed us getting out. The breakfast vouchers were a nice touch and we enjoyed both restaurants. I don't know that I would stay here again because of how old everything is, but the location cannot be beat.

The property is OLD and unfortunately the room I was assigned to air conditioning had a loud exhausting hum. Engineer tried to correct it to no avail so, I was assigned another room but, the mold and mildew order stopped me at the door so, I went back to the Loud exhausting hum with earplugs and lots of prayer and not a restful night.

Very clean and great location. Enjoyed the free walking tours

Fantastic walking distance to Time Square and the theaters.

Great location!! Hotel staff was very helpful.

Great Hotel. Great location unless you are planning to drive in and out of the hotel on. Daily basis since Time Square traffic can become stand still at times. Had a room in the back of the hotel which was perfectly quiet. The grab and go breakfast at Bond was our least favorite option. Better to go to Carve and the best is to pay 6.5 dollars and to opt for the sit down option at the hotel. Love the extra security to get to the elevators on top of the need to use your card to use them.
