Staff and managers horrible behavior

I have stayed at many hotels multiple times in New York but also in other states and this was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The air conditioners were not working and they switched us to a room that was even worse. Then the keys were not working so we had to be escorted to our rooms until they got the key machines to finally work. But the final straw was the friends we booked with their shower door exploded! Glass went everywhere it cut my friend and her husband who was trying to help. They have two little ones and I couldn’t believe how little the hotel cared. They refused to switch us to a different Marriott hotel as the kids were scared to stay there. We mentioned we were having trouble with our door as well and we were scared it was going to happen to us and it was just handled horribly all they said was the insurance had to handle it but they did not care that it was ruining the rest of our vacation. I do not recommend.

Short walk to Time Square, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended this place. Slightly small rooms but expected since it is NYC.

Very small room, but it is New York. The AC was a portable unit that blew cool air but it is not an AC and that had soaked the carpet. Very small bathroom. Location was great.

Our stay at the Springhill Suites Times Square far exceeded my expectations. The level of customer service from the doorman to the bartender, the front desk staff to the breakfast attendants, every single person went out of their way to make you feel welcome and accommodated. The hotel was clean and rooms attended to daily. The breakfast was a 10 out of 10 as far as complimentary hotel breakfasts go. The rooms are small but this is expected in New York and having the queen beds was amazing as that is a rarity in NYC. Being so close to Times Square the hotel and rooms were quiet and peaceful. Location is superb with Times Square half a block away, multiple theaters within walking distance, and a convenient 7-11 just around the corner for those last minute needs. The ONLY issue we encountered was having to wait for the elevator during high traffic times but this was not often.

Amazing breakfast, wonderful staff

The rooms are so tiny but I know that is just how it is in New York. You pay triple the price too. The breakfast was excellent and they had cookies and pastries and water and coffee all day in the lobby area. Incredible location. Close to everything. Would stay here again.

Location was amazing, right across from Richard Roger's (which is currently showing Hamilton) and around the corner from Times Square. The breakfast buffet in the morning was so helpful and a great start to the day. Staff was friendly and personable (shout out Alan and the evening security)! Appreciated the fridge and microwave in the room. Rooms were smaller but I am starting to believe that's an NYC thing. Definitely would stay again!

We enjoyed the location, very close to theaters and Times Square as well as several metro lines. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good

I found the room and the bathroom very small. The breakfast was really good and cover all the possibilities.

The room was clean and set up well. I have 2 concerns - (1) when we got there the AC must have been on the fritz because they had a floor unit set up with a large tube going out the window. The rug surrounding the unit was soaked. In a small room the unit was kind of ugly! (2) When we asked about the possibility of an early check-in they said it was possible but that they charged $75 for that. Maybe that is standard procedure for NYC but we had just come from a weekend in Boston where the hotel checked us in early for free. First time my wife and I stayed in an NYC hotel - it was a special birthday for her. Probably will be the last.

Hotel was in a good location in Times Square. Located in the Theatre District. Staff were very friendly and helpful. So many restaurants to choose from all within walking distance. Lastly short walk to a subway stations.

This was a very nice hotel, even though the rooms are extremely small. The staff was wonderful.

The staff was super helpful. We needed to add another night and they accommodated. Breakfast was good, clean rooms too.

Very nice space close to lot of activities. Rooms are small but very clean.

The air-conditioning wasn't working

Super clean hotel and room, in a fantastic location for seeing Broadway shows and Times Square. The staff was wonderful to work with, and although our room was small, it was comfortable and had everything we needed. The only inconvenience of our room was that the bathroom door wouldn't stay shut, but that was minor and probably easy to fix.

Great centrally located hotel steps from all the action from times square. Numerous places to eat near by . 2 elevators both of them very fast . Small gym but with all the needed equipment, small bar in the lobby with happy hour from 5 to 7pm. Breakfast has a lot of different options very good including eggs , waffles , sausage , bread , oatmeal , cereal , yogurt ,coffee , different juices , donuts , bagels and other options. Room very small but it had everything needed including microwave, small fridge , coffee maker .AC not noisy at all just make sure you put in in constant fan instead of auto option and you will be good to go. Overall I will definitely recommend this hotel as long as the price is right under 200 a night and for centrally located place near Broadway and the famous red stairs and all the times square area has to offer .

Very clean room and quite spacious for NYC. The breakfast was very good with a lot of different selections. It is also very conveniently located and the desk staff were totally awesome!!! Wonderful cookies available every day too!
