Paramount Times Square – A Generator Hotel

The staff! Very kind and willing to go extra mile. The reception area is big and cosy, many armchairs to relax and a big table with plugs, handy if you have to work (but dusty). The first room had a smell of food coming from outside. I went downstairs and they changed it immediately. The second room was better, even brighter, but dusty. Next to the bed there was a used tissue. The corridors smell funny. The paint on the ceiling and doors is coming off. The hotel needs a deep renovation.

It was okay

The elevator to get up and down the elevator was a nightmare to use. The staff are very blunt and unfriendly, really don’t want to help you at all if it even slightly inconveniences them. The room is nice and clean, very basic, but a great central Times Square location. Very urban and hip foyer.

Extremely loud hotel. Small rooms with extremely loud external noises, sirens, people, construction, all sorts of very loud noises that go on continuously

Shower was the most insane setup I’ve ever seen in my life. There was an outlet in the shower, no glass or barrier and if you faced the shower outward it sprayed out directly into the center of the bathroom. Unusable. The entire hotel was littered with trash and disgusting. Would never stay here again and honestly cannot believe the rating it has on here. It should be a 1 star hotel.

It was a wonderful stay overall and would be definitely open to staying there again. The lobby was beautiful and we took advantage of the fun Photo Booth. Our room was pretty small but good enough for a nights rest. Only downside was the surprise additional fee charged during check in.

The Paramount staff was very accommodating and friendly. The entertainment at the Lobby bar was amazing..We felt very safe and comfortable and the location is great!

The room was incredibly clean and spacious and the staff member that helped me was so kind and gave me an upgrade to a room with a window so I could see the Hamilton theatre!!!!

Great location as long as you enjoy (or don't mind) being close to Times Square. Even from my room on the top (19th) floor, I could hear quite a bit of street noise but it did not bother me. The hotel is an easy walk to most of the Theater District/Broadway theaters and restaurant row. The spacious lobby has a hip and welcoming vibe with lots of seating, including comfortable couches and tables suitable for working, as well as the bar. My guest room was on the small side (typical for older historic hotels in NYC), but quite comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially the reception desk staff who happily arranged for me to have a late checkout when my meeting schedule changed. I'm a frequent visitor to New York and I'll keep the Paramount on my list of hotels to consider for future stays.

Pleasant staff

The room was definitely smaller than expected. But overall not bad at all. Just small

The hotel is in the middle of Times Square, which can be good or bad. The actual room was quite dated, but clean and the bed was comfortable. I was at the back of the hotel, so it wasn't too noisy either. The room was quite large for NYC too. I tried to use the gym, but most of the cardio equipment was broken, a treadmill was about all that worked. The bar area was nice for a drink and the staff were all really friendly and helpful.
