The location was fantastic, and the Times Square view from our room was definitely a highlight. The bed was comfortable, the TV was a good size, and the staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. Housekeeping was also great for most of our stay.Unfortunately, the room was extremely small for two people, with almost no closet or breathing space. The bathroom was tiny, and the outlets were very dated. The elevators were old, not particularly clean, and too small to comfortably accommodate many guests. The biggest issue was checkout and extending our stay. We had a confirmed late checkout, yet housekeeping essentially rushed us out. I also tried to extend our stay and was told to do it through Hotels.com, where I made the original reservation. I accidentally booked the wrong dates, but the property told me they would hold the room and extend our keys. When I contacted Hotels.com, they reached out to the property and were then told there was no availability and we could not extend. This was frustrating because the hotel had previously told me we could keep the room. Thankfully, Hotels.com said they would issue a full refund, although I have yet to receive it.I also found the handling of the security deposit concerning. I understand deposits because I manage lodging myself, but we caused no damage and were barely in the room. The amount and how it was handled left me feeling like we were charged unfairly.

Comfortable beds and very clean room. Staff was friendly and service was on point and super quick. Very close by to Times Square also. Only issue was the elevators not working but other than that it was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location and price. Delicious breakfasts! Since it is an old building the elevators are slow and often get backed up. Very nice staff at doors and cafe. Love margarita!!!!!

    Great location, very enjoyable stay

I would stay here again, for the right price. Location was great, all the staff (front desk, security, etc) were nice & helpful. Our room, while on the smaller side (compared to other NYC hotels I’ve stayed in) was comfortable, thoughtfully laid out, and quiet! It’s amazing to be unaware of the noise of the street below from our room. I would say the only downsides were the long lines to check in & the elevator at times (many were out of service while we were there). But all in all, positives outweigh, and being so central to NYC was great.

This place is appropriate if you just want to be close to time square and MSG, however, how the rooms look compared to the lobby paint very different pictures. No mini fridge, no microwave, or even wash cloths (yes, big towels), cleanliness was lacking. We had random used eye contacts everywhere… tub, floor, and bed. Which begs the question, did we even have clean sheets to begin with. It’s not disgusting, but for the price paid not comparable. The reception desk did try to help, it just took hours to do so. All the staff were pleasant throughout the entire experience and the blackout shades did their job. All in all, if you just need a bed and shower, byor ( bring your own rag) and you’ll be good and you’ll also save money with not needing Ubers etc.

Love that the hotel was near the theaters and everything else the room was alittle small but lovely we loved the decor, the only thing I would say that was a bother was checking in and checking out took long. Front desk staff were soo friendly.

The line for check in was long all day. The elevators were strange with one responding to direct calls to the floor you are going to and the others using the usual buttons inside the elevator. One was down the whole time I was there so there were also lines to go up and at least once I waited 10 minutes to catch one down before giving up and taking the stairs so I would not be late for a show. It is a convenient location with little noise and the cost was good. But the reno seems rushed.

Firstly, the check-in queue was excessively lengthy, despite the absence of a holiday. There was only one receptionist managing a substantial influx of guests arriving every five minutes. Secondly, a “tourist tax” was imposed without prior disclosure during the booking process. Thirdly, the deposit for potential damage was $100 x night, with additional charges applicable for cash payments. Upon arrival, I discovered a crushed pepper packet on the floor adjacent to the bed. Furthermore, the staff exhibited consistently negative attitudes, which I can comprehend given the hotel’s high occupancy. However, this was exacerbated by the fact that only one or two individuals were responsible for the entire reception and front desk operations. Regrettably, the room lacked essential amenities, including water, a coffee machine, a microwave, a mini-fridge, and other basic necessities. The closest door was a rudimentary fabric cover. Notably, the hotel provided only one room cleaning service during my entire stay (4 nights) necessitating repeated requests for fresh and clean. Had to literally cleaning and do the bed myself. It is important to emphasize that this experience occurred during a non-holiday period. In conclusion, I would rate this establishment a 1 out of 5.

One thing to note, the lifts, check in and bag drop queues are crazy long. The lobby is always busy, overrun with people queuing to check in. The staff were amazing but clearly not enough to service the amount of people in high-season/high-footfall. Cant complain about the central location, rooms are basic with limited amenities.

  • Engine customer Sep 2026

The rooms are amazingly quiet for a very busy hotel in the heart of time square. I would say the hotel is extremely busy. We arrived at midnight to check in and queued for 35 minutes! Same at check out. Aside from the it was in a great location and a peaceful oasis from the hectic outside!
