Room set up we requested was not available so we received an up grade to "bunk beds and a queen" Similar to a college dorm room. It served the purpose but its definitely not for me. Staff was friendly
-
While my room was small, it was very clean. While the AC was an old style unit, it keep my cool. The accommodations gave me everything I needed to support my stay in NYC. I enjoyed the location and proximity to restaurants and stores. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

You can hear everything outside even hall way. Pretty loud voices and machine making noise whole night.
-
don’t let the reviews fool you this was a good hotel and location was perfect
-
One thing to note: they do charge $3 per item if you need them to hold anything at the lobby. Personally, I think that should be complimentary, but it wasn’t a big deal for us since we didn’t end up using that service during our stay. Aside from that, everything went smoothly. It’s a comfortable place in a good location, and the people working there make the experience even better.

Location is great, room was clean but the rest of the Hotel needs improvements.

Wall was patched in certain areas and not repainted, as well as there were active chips in the wall/missing chunks not patched at all, had to ask to switch rooms as original room had lights not working, toilet making a constant sewer sound. Ice machine that was supposed to be accessible on 4 different floors only worked one 1 floor. Front desk staff was dismissive. There were stains on sheets, upon request the cleaning lady gladly changed it for us, she was very helpful. The area was close to the touristy spots other than that I do not recommend. Hallway had a distinct smell that was unpleasant. Blow dryer in room was full of lint, unusable. Iron was also broken and did not heat at all. Shower glass only goes through halfway and water spills out completely leaving floor soaked.
-
There were not any dressers in the room for clothes and the room safe was not working.
-
toilet splash water up every hour and wet the toilet seats and make loud noise. no one picks up at front desk to report the problem or they don’t pick up the phone. have to use towels to wipe toilet. not sanitary
-
Marginal room amenities, but great location. Adding $40/night "destination fee" is outrageous. 😖
-
However the conditions of the rooms and walls and couch in lobby and elevators is quite bad lots of things held together with duct tape Ice machine wasn’t plugged in for use Overall staff is great but the hotel itself is in major need of some updating it’s all quite old and run down

Not the best or worst place I’ve stayed. I would rebook if I’m in NY again. Location was very convenient for me.

The location is excellent, but the hotel facilities are old, and the front desk service was terrible. The room I stayed in the first time was very small, the bedside lamp was broken, and there seemed to be a server room above the window with very loud machine noise. When I went to the front desk to change rooms, the attitude was extremely bad, and they didn't explain the room change process clearly. It took a long time, so I had to leave my luggage at the front desk and go out to explore. I came back once to check if the room had been changed, and they gave me a double room, even though my original booking was for a twin room. The front desk said I had to pay the difference, even though my original booking was for a twin room. After checking, the front desk changed me to a twin room, and they also charged an exorbitant management fee of $140 USD for three nights, which is really too expensive.

Good location near Broadway theaters.

Very convenient area probably would book again just for that. It’s less than A 5 minute walk from Times Square which is soooo nice. The hotel itself is okay it’s not bad but it’s what you should expect for a New York hotel at the price it is. First room we got was not good at all and had lights hanging out of the wall but the staff helped us get another room after providing photos. Overall not a bad stay really just liked the area and the room wasn’t too bad. If your wanting a luxurious stay I would not suggest staying here but if it’s just for a short trip like a couple days or so I’d say go for it if your on a budget! Best of luck and enjoy NYC!

Right in the heart of New York City at times Square. Clean room, Friendly staff, Air conditioning good. Subway 3 mins away. Many Restuarants Pubs , Shops surronding the property as this is times square. Broadway etc.

Overall good place to stay at. It is a bit outdated within the rooms. The staff did not answer the phone the day of check in as I was calling because I would be checking in fairly late that night. GREAT location for Time Square though I must say, 5-6 minute walk. I do think the price was a bit much for what you get, but the rooms are cleaned every morning of your stay and clean overall.

Lovely place to stay. The staff were lovely, one of the staff kept giving me dirty looks one day while i was just sitting, but i didn’t pay too much mind to it. Went to the gym once and it was okay, didn’t have much equipment, but it’s okay. The bathroom was quite small which was annoying but i got used to it. i do understand the $100 a day refundable fee, but personally think it shouldn’t be that high. i did get it back a day later though so yeh. there was one ice machine that was never working which was annoying as i kept having to go to a different floor, but other than that, it was good.

The shower has one glass door and it half open so water just sprays all over the bathroom floor. The shower faucet kept falling off so I had to screw it together to use it lol. Apparently there are 3 designated floors to grab ice but realistically you can only get ice on floor 4. No breakfast, snacks to buy, no toothbrush, no extra towels for the soaked bathroom floor. Just a horrible experience being in the hotel. Oh also the elevators are so small and also doesn’t run properly. My room window was full of dust and debris that you can’t even see outside. I had to put 200 down for security for the 2 days which was fine, but there are automatically deductions so you don’t even get all your money back. For the price point to stay there and lack of amenities this place is horrible. P.S no refrigerator or microwave either.
