The free tea, coffee set up at Reception. I heard Mayfair, saw the pictures online and I was sold on it ie very high expectations. My room was tiny!! The bathroom was a good size, but overall, it really wasn't AT ALL what I expected (and not in a good way!!) Other than the female staff who checked me in and the male one who checked me out, the staff were not at all friendly or welcoming. Overall, my experience with Mayfair was sorely disappointing!

The room was clean but small which is comfortable for 1 person and the location is great to explore other parts of the city, you have a subway 5 minutes away There is only one small elevator to the hotel so in a rush hours it’s not convenient

Clean, fresh, new, quiet, reliable wifi, good climate control, friendly helpful facilitative staff and welcoming environment. Thanks for lending of the umbrella too. I wish it was a little more affordable but I guess it is in the middle of NYC.

I liked cleanliness and space in the room, location of the hotel is convenient to trains, broadway, and restaurants; the staff was friendly. I left a brown paper bag on the nightstand which held chips and cookies that I planned to snack on during the train ride home. It was thrown away by the cleaning staff.

The location of the hotel is super convenient: I had appointments all over the city and multiple subway lines can be accessed from the hotel. I also liked having options for picking up grocery items and lots of food options within reach. Staff were very friendly and they even booked me a cab which ended up costing less than an uber. The bathroom was nicely renovated and clean. September is an expensive time to be in the city so there were not many options for rooms so the Mayfair ended up being less expensive than some. However, considering I paid over 350 a night, my room was so tiny--no closet, no coffee maker, and no nightstand to place a water bottle or other things. Also only one light in the room, please consider adding a light by the bed.
