The location is a few minutes from Times Square so is in an excellent location if this is what you want. We booked a Premium King Room - High Floor which was clean, a maid came very day who was always chirpy with a "good morning" and it was a good sized room. My only disappointment was that our large window looked straight out to the side of a building, so zero view of anything. The outlook of the room, bearing in mind this is a premium room, looking out directly onto the side of a building was a big disappointment. Staff were friendly but not overly helpful when we wanted to know simple things like which subway line to use to get to South Ferry, which as it turned out was a very simple direction with the station literally around the corner to the hotel. For a 5* hotel in such a tourist district, it was quite surprising and frustrating.

Amazing place and perfect location Nothing

Location was great Unfortunately, our stay at Kimpton Theta did not meet expectations. The cleanliness was particularly disappointing: we found a large dust clump under the bedding on the first day, and several pillowcases and bed linens had visible stains. In addition, half of my pyjama set went missing from the room, most likely during housekeeping. We reported this, but there was little follow-up and the item was never found. The reception upon arrival also felt unwelcoming. Overall, the standard of cleanliness, housekeeping and service did not match the price or the level we expected from a Kimpton hotel.

Great location for shows, well maintained, great doorman, rooftop bar was good at night. We went out for meals but there was coffee and tea in the lobby. We were 4 adults but we did see families there, room was pretty sound proof
