Kimpton Theta New York - Times Square by IHG

The room was a great size. The location is superb. Lots of attractions and dinner options nearby. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The cost however was quite dear!

Lovely hotel Upon checkout it was rainy day but even though we left luggage at hotel they wouldn’t let us borrow umbrella

The Kimpton was well situated, clean rooms and nice entrance.

The door handle in the bathroom was broken. The door wouldn’t open from the inside.

Very friendly and helpful

Hotel is very close to Times Square and many of the Broadway theaters. Nice and spacious room, good breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Check-in and check-out were also very easy and stress-free.

Location Unfriendly staff. Can’t get a glassware. 4star hotel without room service. Same breakfast all through the day. Can’t even get an omelette.

Location was centrally located to the subway stations, prime spot for the theater district as well. Rooms were updated which was great! Was placed in a room with a connecting door and you're able to clearly hear the conversation in the next room, not even muffled, the full conversation...

We had a great stay. You can't beat the location. 2 mins to Times Square and around the corner from all the broadway shows. Very easy to jump on transit also. The property was clean and felt safe. We tried the rooftop patio for drinks one night and had amazing service. Wish I had of upgraded to the larger room for my fam of 4, but we made it work.

City view is a lie, cockroaches everywhere. Manager is a liar. Awful. Awful. Awful. Manager and the recommended car service and the crappy rooms

The long stay was good. Didn’t use many of the amenities but staff were helpful etc. what I didn’t like was the room light system. Bathroom light on a sensor and timer, meaning you’d be standing in the shower and the lights would turn off every 2 minutes. Others have written the same review for several years so unlikely to change. Shower pressure was also poor for tenth floor.

Exceptional

It was sophisticated, clean, and the rooms were sizable and well decorated. The staff and housekeeping staff were friendly. The location was great. I have stayed at three properties in the area and the Kimpton Theta was the best so far. Nothing

A great location, especially if you want to be near Times Square. Good size, comfortable room, with everything you might need for a few days. Friendly staff. Lights in the room and corridors a little dim, but the light in the bathroom is perfect - although we couldn't turn it off, so just closed the door to sleep. Opening windows in the room was a bonus.

The staff was excellent! Everyone very friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar is great! I really didn’t like the double sheet setup on the bed. The sheets get tangled and come off easily, which isn’t very comfortable. At this price point, I would expect a proper duvet, especially since comforters typically aren’t washed between every guest. I also wish there were a way to at least crack a window for some fresh air.
