Hotel Richland LES

When I booked my room on Booking.com, it was described as a room "lower floor". When I arrived at the hotel, I was told the room was on the basement floor. You had to go down a flight of narrow and dark stairs to get to a basement, more like a service area than a part of the hotel, where there are no other guest rooms. It did not feel safe at all. The person at the front desk agreed that the room description on booking.com ("lower floor") was deceptive. He told me they did have another room available, but it would cost more. It was late in the evening, and I felt like I had no choice but to agree to the higher price. The more expensive room they put me was on the entry floor, close to the checkout desk, right next to the elevator. It was extremely loud, with people going in and out throughout the night. It was impossible to sleep. I would never stay at this hotel again. Deceptive description, deceptive pricing, too loud

Too expensive for what you get

So, this place is fine. The staff is excellent, the location is good, and it’s very clean. It’s just not a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination. There is only one elevator, which is kind of annoying and the gym is down the street at a community center type place. All in all, this being NYC, it’s a well priced option, but if you’re in town for business, it’s fine but not ideal.

Convient Not great neighborhood. Definitely not 3 star. Extremely small rooms. Very few amenities. Had to request a mini fridge, mold in the bathroom, no closet, intermittent Internet and TV impossible to watch because it kept freezing. On the plus side, quiet, comfortable bed and really nice staff.

Very nice area, the staff was excellent! Our room specifically had an interesting odor coming from the bathroom and the ac would not adjust so i wasnt sure if it was just user error or not. But the room was always freezing or just not on. Other than that I would recommend and I’d hope that it was just our room.

Was sent to a basement and had to staff downstairs often so it is loud. Never again.

Clean room, friendly helpful staff, great location, air conditioning was great on hot days. Room is tight but just for resting/sleeping it was a great stay!

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Richland LES. The staff were helpful with check-in and luggage storage. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and hot shower. Location was good too with two metro stations a close distance away. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Staff, and cleanliness were excellent and very helpful. Building is dated. Neighboring properties not so clean. 5 minute walk to F-line, ten minutes to B&D lines(Uptown). Bus stop out front to go further downtown(I didn’t use it), Some bars and restaurants are close by.

Clean and great view and awesome staff!

Excellent location. Proximity to several subway lines. Away from the touristy areas and in a vibrant neighborhood. Friendly feel as its a small hotel and staff gets to know you.
