Overall a nice hotel in a great location. The outdoor courtyard was really messy with construction. That was the only downside

I travel to NYC monthly for work, so I’m usually balancing where I’d personally choose to stay with what makes sense for a corporate travel budget. ModernHaus has quickly become my preferred hotel for work trips. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, I don’t feel like I’m giving up many of the amenities or comforts I’m used to at the Four Seasons, and the location is honestly hard to beat. The walkability of SoHo makes such a difference when you’re in the city for work, and I may actually be converting to ModernHaus full-time for my monthly trips because of it. The staff has also consistently been friendly and helpful. On my last stay, I had a pretty unusual noise issue that was completely outside the hotel’s control: the guest above me seemed to have placed their phone on a hard surface, and it vibrated — I kid you not — about every 30 seconds throughout the night. After a few nights of very little sleep, I finally mentioned it to the staff. While they weren’t ultimately able to stop the noise, they made multiple attempts to contact the guest and resolve it. The fact that they genuinely tried meant a lot to me. Great location, spacious rooms, wonderful staff, and very good value for the quality. ModernHaus has definitely earned a spot in my regular NYC rotation.

Location Housekeeping is slow, didn’t make our rooms some days. No night concierge to take the bags downstairs and check out.

Loved our stay. The room was a generous size and I loved the Le Labo toiletries. The staff was lovely. I recommend staying on a lower floor as the rooftop bar was quite loud, though we had no trouble sleeping so it wasn’t a big issue for us. Quite sure they would have changed rooms if we had asked.

Staff were super lovely, the location is great and he bathroom is great. The rooftop pool area is tiny, there aren’t a lot of sunbeds and they are pretty filthy (always covered in hair?). The rooftop area is also owned by a separate company and they host lots of private events so both Friday and Saturday night we couldn’t use it before 9pm. There aren’t really any other facilities (other than a fairly small and old gym) so you’re really just paying for the room. Had we known we would not have paid the amount we did to stay. Also our room overlooked a building site and was quite noisy, even for NY!

The location in Soho is excellent, walkable from everywhere you need to go, with the right vibe and feel for the area. The stars of the show are undoubtedly the reception/concierge team who simply cannot do enough for you. Stand out star is Kristy - she is the ‘face of the property’ and what a great smiley face she has, too!
