The main complaint is that I hate New York. If my family still didn’t live there that’s the last place on earth I would go to.

Because we're late to check in, our booking was canceled. We're check in the following morning at 9am. But after 30 minutes we let us in. The room in hot and we approached the receptionist about that . He said They will something about that. But when we come back around 9pm still hot in the room. We end up buying small electric fan but still hot. The following morning we approached again the lobby and she said will transfer us in different room. The room is okay but in our last night they did not change the towels so we used the wet and dirty towel. The phone in the room is not working and the elevator is so slow. So we decided just use the old towels. We leave the hotel at 7am.

Great location, right next to Times Square. Reception staff really nice, but only ever 1 person working, so it was extremely slow. Room was a clean but a bit worn out

Oh boy where do I start, when I first checked in there were only four people in front of me, the four of us were wet from the storm ,but for some reason it took over 30 minutes to check in , was told the hot water did not work and it’s $100 per night which it did not say on the website and they don’t tell you until you get to the hotel so they were holding 300 dollars of my money and the AC was not working right, there’s no fan in the bathroom so it was pretty much humid in there. upon my stay, there were people slamming doors from the morning till after midnight., housekeepers were talking very loud in the morning, which is unprofessional. The rooms are below basic, overpriced, and dirty.

The lobby is lovely, and of course we love Serendipity! For my stay, the Luggage Guy was THE BEST! We were so grateful for the 2;h bag check, as we arrived in NYC at 6am and couldn’t check in until 3pm. The front desk lines were frequently long and slow-moving, and when we were checking in around 4pm they told us there was no hot water, so they’d remove the facility fee if we wanted to stay, though when we went upstairs to our room the hot water was working fine and we didn’t have any trouble with it after 3 showers. I let the front desk know around 8pm that our water worked fine, and they were shocked. So like… whoever is in charge over here is not doing a very good job. I kept coming downstairs to check if the only ice machine was working yet - it said “refilling ice” every time I checked until I gave up at 11pm. It still wasn’t working when we checked out the next day either, and no one at the front desk had any idea how long it would take or how to fix it or even where to buy ice in the area. Our room wouldn’t get cold, so we called down and they said they’d send “the engineer” up but they never showed up. Also the carpet was wet near the bathroom and seemed soapy, but WAY too wet to be from any normal cleaning. The rooms were very quiet though! I didn’t hear anything from adjacent rooms - it seemed like no one was in there, so either that’s true or this hotel actually has decent walls. TBD. We did hear a lot of street noise from Times Square through the windows, which ev

I checked in around 3:30 PM, and when I got to my room, it was dirty with hair everywhere. I went back downstairs and asked to change rooms. I was moved to the 9th floor, and although the room was clean, I laid down on the bed and immediately realized the bed was broken. Then came the second day—there was no hot water for 9 hours. I went downstairs to speak with Richard (I believe that was his name), and he told me there was nothing he could do about it. After about 10 hours, the hot water finally came back, so we went to bed. The next day, the water was off again. Absolutely terrible experience. Even if you’re on a budget, you can find a much better place to stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location Checking in time was so bad that I had to sit with children outside for 3 hours after traveling from out of state the welcoming was not to my satisfaction.

Very poor

The rooms are small which is totally fine. The customer service was not all that great except for the one staff member who actually helped us get a fan. The plumbing was messed up and had no hot water, AC, or ice. And they had no way of saying how long it would be that way. The elevators are very tiny and hold only a couple of people with luggage. Room was clean but other than the one helpful staff member, that was all they had going for them.

We love this hotel. Beds suck but everything else is great. Especially the location
