Another thing I dont understand, on check in day my account was charged, and again chatged on check out day, so I have 2 large sums of funds on hold on my account. A bit of an inconvenience. However very accessible resort and we had a great time there. Felt safe.

The rooms were kept quite clean and I was impressed by the housekeeping following up to make sure everything was okay. I do wish the rooms had microwaves though.

Great location

Location perfect, restaurant and house bar great and room comfortable. The only negative side was the loud external HVAC system...so loud i changed room from 2nd to 8th floor where still noticeable but became bearable.

Very clean and surprisingly spacious room with A+ air condition during hot, humid NYC August. Very centrally and conveniently located. The food was VERY good in the Alderman restaurant and was able to take advantage of a hotel credit to eat :) Will be back

After driving to New York from Boston, we arrived expecting to check in normally for the two rooms I had reserved through Expedia. I had specifically chosen the option to pay at the hotel upon arrival. However, when we got there, we were told that the reservation had been cancelled because the hotel could not charge my card. This made no sense to me, since the booking was supposed to be paid at the property. Even worse, both rooms had been cancelled without us being properly notified or given a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue before arrival. At first, the staff told us they were sorry but that there was no availability. That was extremely stressful and unacceptable, especially after a long drive with my family and with two rooms already reserved. Only after I insisted did they finally provide us with the rooms. I understand that payment issues can happen, but cancelling both rooms when the reservation was made as “pay at hotel” created an unnecessary and very upsetting situation. The way it was handled made us feel as if our reservation did not matter until we pushed back. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. The location may be convenient, but the check-in process and reservation handling were completely unreliable.

Interesting elevator operation that could confuse first-comers. Be aware of the $30 "destination fee" they charge which is never heard of. Small room. Poor sound proofing. Broken night light never goes off.

Clean, well designed compacted room, great for a solo traveler. Location was wonderful for a quick NY vacation, close to all.

The staff was wonderful! The bartender really made my daughter feel special for her bday and our first time in NYC for her bday! Room had a great view and location was super walkable to our Broadway show. We felt safe and our room was quiet. The happy hour was great too as was the burger we had! Not much to dislike. The room was small but we weren’t there for the room so it was all we needed for two of us.
