Nice hotel in midtown with clean rooms, friendly staff, coffee shop and valet parking conveniently next door. Some people may find the mattresses a bit saggy.

Very nice hotel. The rooms are well decorated and the beds are very comfortable. Location is perfect. Construction works during the day were very loud. We had to change rooms to be able to rest a bit during the day. But management allowed that change to happen smoothly.

It was in an ideal location for walking to most of the major tourist attractions The breakfast wasn’t very good. You get $15 per day to spend ay a kiosk. I was expecting a better buffet style breakfast

It was a little worn and our a/c was not working correctly. The room never got cool enough. Eventhough we complained and a maintenance guy came up to try to fix it, it never improved. We complained a few times but we didn’t have time to mess with it as our schedule was jam packed and we were exhausted by the end of the day.

Modern decor. Rooms and beds were comfortable. Some hairs in the bathroom but overall, it was clean.

The rooms were big & modern, the bed was comfortable and large, and aircon was good. The location was convenient and central to all of the sites. Some construction noise as the building is requiring some external repairs. Doorman was sometimes good, otherwise ignored your existence and didn't trigger the automatic door to open.

Location was great, and staff were very friendly. The Reception area on the Ground Floor was very large and you could bring in takeaway breakfast / lunch to eat in Reception rather than in your room which was handy. Very close to the Subway too. The room was very nice and had everything we needed for a comfortable, stylish stay. The lift shaft was next to our room which was a bit noisy overnight but we got used to it by the 2nd night. Nothing

We stayed 7 nights while my daughter was relocating to the city for a new job. Albert in concierge helped us book the hotel car service when it was time to leave, and just as we arrived at JFK for our return flight, the hotel management called to notify me that my son had left his passport in the lobby. They kept it secure for us until we could retrieve it. Our driver was amazing and took us back to collect the passport and then drove us back to JFK at a reasonable price for two trips! If we had been on the train, it would have been a nightmare. Our room was exceptionally clean, and we loved the ice and water machine on our floor. I will be returning in December and will look to book at the Romer Hell's Kitchen on my next visit to the city.

Everything about the hotel was good and as expected. Their large reception hall is very comfortable to work, meet people, eat. Rooms were decent size. Comfortably located close to everything, but just a step away from major noise. Would be nice to have gym on premises. They have access to a gym nearby, but this gives another excuse for a lazy guy like me not to do the routine:)

An exceptional team! I would like to warmly thank the entire team at Romer Hell’s Kitchen for the quality of their welcome and service. A special mention goes to Anne at reception and the manager, who were incredibly kind, very professional, and always attentive. Their attentiveness and availability truly made a difference and contributed to making my stay very pleasant. Thank you for this excellent service, and I look forward to returning!

Good location, helpful staff It’s an old building, and the ventilation/cooling systems are terribly noisy :( you cannot sleep with the A/C on, as it is just too loud. Also, we stayed in the room on the top floor, and you could constantly hear humming sound which most probably was caused by some machines on the roof. You could hear it especially well at night when all the other sounds were away, even with the ear plugs :( it really affected the quality of our rest. The staff was really nice and they offered a discount during the checkout (really appreciate that), but the building is noisy and you cannot do much about it. There were also a few small issues with the bathroom. The bathtub was missing the plug needed to fill the tub with water. The housekeepers were inconsistent — sometimes they left a bath mat, and sometimes they didn’t. We were four guests, but sometimes there were four large towels and sometimes only three. Also, there was no way to take a shower without getting your hair wet, as there was no handheld showerhead or other option that would allow you to keep your hair dry.
