It was a very nice, trendy type hotel. Clean for the most part. My only issues were that you must pay a resort fee even when you dont use the bikes or gym - and my room had a few, little black flies. I do believe they were fruit flies, likely from food left in the room by the previous guests. I wasnt in the room much and as there were maybe 5 flies, it wasnt a huge deal to me. That said, had it not been for the imposed resort fee and the flies, I would have probably given 5 stars. Oh and the front desk staff were okay - more like robots. They did their jobs, but I cant say that any of them were overly warm and welcoming.

I wish I could rate this hotel better. The hotel was very nice and we had a great experience until the second to last day. I received an email from management stating that their anti-smoking detection device indicated that we had smoke in the hotel room. We absolutely did not and they did not respond to my dispute of the finding for two weeks after my stay. We were charge $500 for their “finding” regardless of the fact we did not smoke in the hotel room. I will never stay where they can falsely charge for something without any recourse or dispute. Very disappointed in the system and the manager’s handling of the matter!

The hotel is very nice and we would definitely stay there again . I want to mention Joan at the front desk who was extremely helpful , friendly and went above and beyond helping us secure a great room which helped tremendously after coming off a long trip. She answered all of our questions and explained everything we needed to know. The hotel is in the perfect spot , the lobby was welcoming with plenty of places nearby to eat and drink including a Whole Foods for groceries and other mini marts .

I arrived at 2pm, front bell staff at that time was very helpful and directed me to front desk to checkin, very smooth. since my room was not ready yet, I left my luggage with bell staff and it was all pleasant. when I came back a little after 7pm to get my room key, it was pretty quickly. however, the bell staff shift was changed, and there was no staff at the bell desk to get my luggage so that I could get to my room to take a shower in a hot humid NYC day. I waited for 20 minutes until a hotel staff tried to help me out, and called the bell staff numbers; another 10 minutes pass by the bell staff was nowhere to be found; I approached the front desk, and the hotel staff and asked them to call the bell staff again. another 10 minutes pass by, finally the bells staff came back, apparently not happy, and even did not acknowledge me and just gave me luggage back. why is there no bell staff on duty at that time at the bell desk, or why it need 40 minutes and multiple calls to finally get him down?

The location is unbeatable, 10 min walk from time square, 7 min walk from central park and 5th avenue. It's the place to stay if you want to explore Manhattan by foot. Big, spacious room, Great value for money. Staff is very professional.and accomdating. We had a situation with the room and Steven (the manager on duty) was very professional and handled the matter immediately. We loved our stay and would come back. The bathroom could be bigger, but it's New York.

Hotel guests have access to a nearby third-party gym, including its fitness classes, which is a real bonus. The rooms are spacious, and the downstairs café is pleasant and coffee is great. I didn’t get a chance to visit the music bar, but it has received very positive reviews. The shared lounge area often felt more like a canteen, with many people eating strongly scented fast-food lunches there, which took away from what could otherwise have been a relaxing atmosphere. I also had a less-than-welcoming interaction with the concierge—perhaps he was simply having an off day, but it left a disappointing impression.

Friendly staff, room was very clean, comfortable sleep. We were in an accessible room for my husband, but there was no shower seat or walk in shower with a seat. The air conditioning was not great.

The place was close to everything that's what I loved about this place. They do have many amenities however you need to ask the front desk was not the best customer service. They have for example free bike rentals, also free gym access.

AC was pretty weak in the lobby and rooms. Couldn’t keep humidity down. Beds were nice and rooms spacious. Didn’t care for the resort fee for no resort features. Very misleading and if you have to pay it but there aren’t any services then it should be part of the room. $51 per night for no reason is quite bad.
