M Social Hotel New York Times Square

Hotel was in a good location, near to subways, shopping and food. Walking distance to central park. Hotel had 2 lifts to get to the reception and they were a little bit of a gamble; sometimes ok other times the life and floor wasn't level and kept trying to level while you got out, doors closing on you as you get in or not working at all. Similar to the lifts to the rooms I waited 35 minutes as they were only using 2 out of 4 lifts and they were all full. The room was clean. Other issues our tv kept not working (reported 5 separate days) The bathroom eventually got a shower curtain after 3 days, then had a coffee machine placed in the room after 4 days. I selected this Hotel as Expedia advertised it with drinks allowance, when I arrived I was told it wasn't $60 per day but $10 which got one drink between 3 of us, so that was disappointing. I paid for a welcome gift x3 which I also didn’t recieve. We stored our bags on the last day however the person who deals with it wasn't available and we had a taxi waiting to get to the airport for our flight, we waited 35 minutes and we went early to ensure we had time before the car arrived which was a little late thankfully or we wouldn't have our bags. Hotel was clean, cool and quiet but not without faults.

We were disappointed in the the bartender and bar during this last stay.

Honestly I hate to write a bad review because I believe this hotel has the potential to be better. Unfortunately for myself and others staying the elevators were amongst the main complaints. I waited 40 mins for an elevator because out of 4 two were out of service. There are 33 floors (we were on the 25th) If it wasn’t for cleaning staff I’d still be waiting 5 days later. Thank goodness he took us to the service elevator. Now let’s talk about the room, it was a double bed, cute and quaint. Then you see the bathroom, dirt/grime between the hinges on the toilet lid. The towel bar I was able to draw a heart in the dust. The wood panel on the sink cabinet was distressed and stressed out. I was totally surprised due to the cleanliness in the lobby and bar. It’s very beautiful clean and accommodating. The bathrooms were immaculate. At this point we should have stayed down there on the comfortable couches as that would have been better than staying in the room. Quite frankly I wish I didn’t have to pay for it or only had to pay half since we did in fact sleep there but it was not worth $500 for an overnight stay. If they update and clean the rooms as well as work out a different elevator system (only works by room key) then I’d stay again. Until then, it’s a no for me and I’m okay with that.

First time there wih family from Italy and it was wonderful. Great location, great service. Did not make use of the restaurant, but all good otherwise

Only one downside - for some reason the elevators are always overcrowded and you have to wait for some time to get to the lobby and subsequently to your floor.

Excellent stay at M Social. Staff were very friendly. Views from room and rooftop terrace were spectacular. Highly recommend for travelers staying in Times Square NYC!

Convenient location that was very clean, staff was very welcoming. Nothing. It was wonderful. Flew from California to see some Broadway shows and this as a central location at a reasonable price.

Location is key with this hotel, overall we were pleased with the stay. Could do with slightly better up keep. The hotel was fine, but the location is amazing.
