The Manhattan at Times Square

Location is perfect. The luggage staff and doormen are very nice. Rooms are ok. We arrived after the official check-in time but still had to wait severals hours for a room, with no clear explanation or estimate! After a long transatlantic flight, this was very stressful, especially as we were told there was no room available and we even started worrying that we might have to find another place to stay. No water or reassurance was offered. The room was also not very comfortable: there was no wardrobe, the clothes rail was too low, and housekeeping did not come for two days in a row, so I had to call reception to ask for fresh towels. Elevators were very slowly and some of them broken. We also seen huge queue on reception other days in Check in time

Es la segunda vez que me quedo en este hotel y es la segunda vez que los elevadores no funcionaban!! Pensé que luego de 2 años los habrian reparado, pero un desastre!! Una noche tuvimos que usar los elevadores de servicio.

Exceptional

Location was great and the room had all I needed The elevators were having issues all 4 days. At one point I had to walk down 5 floors and get off to try and get an elevator to work. My first night there was dirt on one of the pillows, and small flies in the bathroom. The peep hole cover was broken and open for anyone to look in.

The rooms were older but the lobby was nice and location wad good

Room was nasty, furniture very outdated, smelled old, hole in floor. Definitely not what was pictured on-line Nothing

Disappointing

Great location and spacious room for a family, fairly modern amenities. The room was clean and the bathroom 8 out of 10! The views were great and for most of the time the hotel is quiet despite being in a noisy location. The staff was nice but not friendly. Only half of the elevators were running and the breakfast was actually more of a snack meal - a combo of a drink, pastry and 1 piece of fruit. Very limited options, hard not to repeat in a 4 day stay. Lastly (summer time) the AC was not working properly, not cold or abble to turn it off during the night

There was also mold in the bathroom, and the room we were staying in the wall paper in both of the bathroom and the room itself was falling off. The only ice and water station that worked was on the 22nd floor. Very friendly staff but the rooms itself were not great.

Only location Staff isn’t friendly we paid for premium room and they give us old dirty room we were told that they are sold out look like they give us Servent room also bathroom lock and door doesn’t closed staff it was Rachel long curling hair girl her bad behaviour with us she told if you want stay with that old room here or take the luggage go from here we not giving you premium room then we was don’t have options we was this smiley room don’t want to comeback that hotel

Extremely disappointing experience – I would not recommend this hotel My stay at Manhattan Times Square was an extremely disappointing and stressful experience, especially considering that I was on vacation and simply wanted to relax and enjoy my trip to New York. When I first checked in, I was assigned a room that was extremely old and outdated, honestly looking like it belonged to the 1980s. The condition of the room was far below what I expected based on the hotel’s presentation, the price I paid, and the standard I expected from a hotel in such a central location. I immediately requested a room change. After complaining and with the help of Leya, I was eventually able to change rooms. I appreciate her assistance, but having to deal with this situation was already a major inconvenience. I was on vacation, and the last thing I wanted was to spend my time complaining, packing my belongings, moving to another room, and dealing with hotel issues. Guests should not have to go through this simply to get a room that is acceptable. Unfortunately, the problems continued. I also checked out one day earlier than my original reservation, on August 17 instead of August 18. I had contacted the reception well in advance to inform them of my early check-out. I also contacted the hotel through Booking.com regarding the unused night. The hotel confirmed to me that the remaining night would be refunded. However, despite this confirmation, I have still not received the refund. This is extremely frustrating because I did everything I was supposed to do: I informed the hotel in advance, I checked out one day earlier, and I received confirmation that the unused night would be refunded. Yet, despite the confirmation, the money has still not been returned. In addition, I had another unresolved issue concerning the $100 security deposit taken from my card.

I am very pleased with my stay at the hotel.I would like to thank all the staff for a wonderfull holiday for their care and always smiling.The hotel is in the center so is very good.I highly recommend.

Great location, but the rooms are seriously in need of an upgrade. Dirty carpets, peeling ceiling in the washroom, grungy tiles, and a tap that didn’t work.

Nothing. Rhe worst nightmare ever. The photos that are available on Booking, are very far away from the reality, basically those photos are taken for the top few floors only. All the rest are just horrible, old, dirty. The first room we have got, was literally full of human shit in the bathroom, no bed at all. Do not ever go there! We changed the hotel after one horrible night spent there.
