We loved the location and the value.

The staff were excellent!. Service with the amenities were great. Great

Love my 2day stay, convenient to everything, super cute and peaceful from the hustle and bustle from Time Square. The rooftop sushi was sooo good, and I loved the $25 food and beverage credit they give you for your stay.

Overall a very enjoyable stay and we cannot fault this hotel or anyone in it, we would definitely stay here again.
-
My only disappointment was the hidden fee for the resort fee. Expedia claimed the price included all fees. Warning: it does not sanctuary charges an additional fee on top of your reservation fee. I did not use any of the amenities. I lost $160.00 dollars in fees. Watch out for deceptive practices.

Great location but rooms were very small. Restroom area was small.

Room was clean. Staff polite. Unfortunately the room air conditioning stopped working twice. Staff came to fix it.

Amazing hotel ! Close walking distance to everything!

At check in we were told the room I had reservations for was unavailable. (Deluxe king) Julia told.me she was giving me a 'free upgrade' which turned out to be a regular room with 2 queen beds that was right by the busy elevator. The AC didnt work and the room was 79 degrees. Finally after complaining repeatedly they moved.us to a TINY room with a small bed. This was a trip that I reserved and paid for over 4 months ago because it was to celebrate my wife's birthday. They even didnt return all of my deposit with all of these petty charges. This is not a 4 star hotel. MAYBE 2 or 3 stars in an awesome location. I complained and management never even bothered to reply to me. I dont give out 1 star reviews that often but this hotel sucks on every level.

Smaller boutique hotel with large-for-midtown rooms. Clean and cozy and super chic. Several elevated on-site food options. Try the omakase.

We had a very nice stay at the Sanctuary Hotel near Times Square. We arrived and we’re greeted very cordially by the staff. Everyone was ready to jump in and help. They were efficient and quick with check-in and storing our luggage. We had lunch at the Haven Rooftop restaurant which was very nice. The food was good and the service was also very friendly and efficient. We had the margarita flatbread which was excellent and the turkey BLT, which was delicious. We were able to go into our hotel room early and found it to be quite comfortable. Although it is not huge, it is adequate and we had no complaints about it. The location is great! It’s only about a block from Times Square and the theater district. The only minor complaint I might have about this hotel is the buffet breakfast. It’s not included in the price of the room and it was just OK, nothing too special. For $25 a person, I probably could’ve gone to the local diner and gotten something a little bit better. But it’s convenient and was good enough. Overall, I gave this hotel five stars because the staff was extremely attentive, the location was great, the rooftop restaurant was really good and the room was very nice. I would stay here again.

As a result, we couldn't properly use the shower that night and had to give up on bathing comfortably. To make matters worse, the bedroom had a strong moldy smell throughout our stay. I booked this room for **three guests**, but only **two sets of bathrobes and towels** were provided. We asked the front desk to bring another set. Juliet told us she had taken care of it, but when we returned to the room, all she had done was move the two existing bathrobes onto the bed. There was still **no third bathrobe or towel**. We were very disappointed by the lack of attention to such a simple request. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The lack of basic amenities for the number of guests booked, the unresolved maintenance issue, and the poor customer service made our stay extremely disappointing.

This hotel is great. The location is impossible to beat. It's a half block from Times Square and quite literally in the heart of the theater district. The room, while small was very comfortable, very clean, and very quiet. Not to be missed is the rooftop restaurant and bar. Great food and a perfect setting. You won't be sorry if you choose this hotel. Also a special shout out to the "bell" staff. We had 5 pieces of luggage which they promptly brought to our room, and upon check out, were again Johnny on the spot, hailing a cab for us and loading our bags in to the cab.

Nothing to add.
-
Elevator broke for an evening so had to climb lots of stairs to get to the room. The elevator could use more security, anyone can walk in and go upstairs, no room key needed.
-
The staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean, and the hotel was convenient to the subway.
