Sanctuary Hotel New York

The elevator went out of service during my stay but otherwise it was very pleasant and helpful staff!

I noted 39 dollars were charged after the check out. I asked the hotel and hotel said it’s for beverages. We brought our own water and drinks and didn’t consume any drinks. I sent a message and email to hotel but they didn’t reply back to me. Quite disappointing.

Rooms are small, but would expect so in NYC, very well equiped for the size. Location right near Times Square. We had a great stay and would come back next time we are in the city.

Didn't appreciate how loud the staff are in the hallway in the morning. Also, they got every order wrong on room service and one morning there was curdled cream for coffee. Housekeeping will clean daily.

We loved our stay! The staff was super friendly and the location was very convenient to everything in Midtown. Will definitely stay again.

Very good location, friendly staff, and professionally managed. However, the room is not well soundproofed, so outside noise can be heard easily.

Location was excellent. We were in NYC on holiday so was fantastic to be so close to Times Square and surrounds Our room was well appointed but very small We really enjoyed the rooftop bar and eatery and the $25 per room per day voucher was a lovely treat We did not eat breakfast with you The rooms were very small and by the time you had "moved in" with big suitcases it was difficult to move around.

The location was great l, sizes of rooms for 2 beds were pretty good for an nyc hotel! The rooms and the beds were the worse! My entire stay I had to look out at a concrete wall, the beds were on the floor and hard as a rock!

I checked in and was surprised with a $200 resort fee (stayed 5 nights-they charge per day) it would have been nice to know this in advance since I picked this hotel for the price. My room was on the 9th floor, just below the rooftop bar and restaurant, so it was noisy. The room was dated and very dark. The window had no view except for a partial roof view. So we kept the blinds shut to help noise, The desk had no chair. I was locked out of my room the first night and they could not get me in. I was meeting my sister who was asleep and they could not wake her up so they accommodated me with a better room for the night. At some point the next morning, they had maintenance barge into my borrowed room without notice. I requested to see a manager the next day; he said he would take care of me generously for my inconvenience when I checked out. Every day I had to rode the elevator to the reception desk to have my lock re-keyed. Upon check out, he negotiated what he could offer which was sub par and barely covered the fee that I never used bc it only covered $25 towards one person to have breakfast, it wasn’t worth spending $25 on breakfast for the 2nd person, I’m from NYC. I I know where I can find for a lot less and receive better quality food! I wasted 2 - half days on my trip dealing with mngt and riding too many elevators when I could have been out having fun or offered a better room! The compensation was a joke!

Close to Times Square

Rooms are really tiny. Staff is friendly but hotel doesn’t have amenities more than the little bar and a sushi diner upstairs. It’s all about location.

Belle petite hôtel à 2 min de time square. Elle est très propre quand même assez calme. Les chambres sont beaucoup plus petite que sur les photos qu’il montre mais confortable. Difficultés avec le service notre frigidaire dans la chambre ne fonctionnait pas on a appelé à 2 reprises là réception mais il ne son jamais venu voir le problème.

We arrived at the hotel early and were told that they would hold our bags until check in. I informed the front desk that we had lunch reservations on the rooftop, the voiced happiness that we would be joining the hotel for lunch. Once it was 3pm and time for check in, we went down to the desk where they informed me that I would be charged another $40 fee (that I was not aware of) as well as $50 incidental fee (refundable upon checkout) and explained that we have $25 to spend at any of the 3 restaurants at the hotel. This is a nice perk and I would have loved to be able to use it at our lunch reservation. when we arrived since they knew we were there to check-in, so unfortunately I was unable to use the perk because we had a full itinerary of our stay in NYC and did not have the time to go back to the restaurants in the hotel. Other than that, the bellhops were pleasant and the lunch we had was delicious (would have been more delicious had I been able to use the $25 credit).

I stayed the Sanctuary Hotel for the location, it was a small room with little / poor lighting. The room was well maintained, but the air conditioning kept shutting off and had to be reset. At one point it got to 80 degrees at 2:00 AM. The staff were helpful, but I would recommend finding another property.

Staff were welcoming, rooms were modern, small, but nicely laid out.
