Great stay, great staff. Only con is our water pressure and temp was iffy day to day.

This property is a great little gem in Manhattan! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, our room was lovely, and it had a balcony too!

Close to multiple locations

Very nice property with friendly staff. We chose this property for the private balcony which turned out not to be worth it. There was water pouring onto the balcony and our view was of an ally . Otherwise great stay!

Bed was clean, but floor was really dirty and the bathroom/shower didn’t look clean either. When we arrived there was hair in the shower and on the floor in the bathroom. Was disappointed as this place looked very nice/clean online.

Rooms with the balconies are so cool.

The location of this property was the best part of our stay! The floors in our bedroom were dirty, even after room service was completed. We had to request coffee on a daily basis, as opposed to most hotels, replenishing it without the guest having to ask. The staff were not the most friendly it did not appear as though they had a sense of pride in the property, nor were they welcoming.

Everything was perfect- brilliant hotel, exceptional location, rooms and views amazing - would definitely stay here again & recommend to anyone visiting NYC.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is definitely its location. It’s in a great area for exploring Manhattan, and the staff was friendly throughout my stay. However, I was disappointed by several things. First, the cleanliness could be improved. I only walked around the room wearing the hotel slippers, and the bottoms turned black very quickly, which suggests the floors were not cleaned thoroughly. I also found peanuts under the bed, and there was noticeable dust in parts of the room. The “terrace” shown in the photos is actually more of a small balcony. The outdoor furniture was very basic, with plastic chairs and no cushions, so it wasn’t a particularly inviting space to relax. The building itself also feels a bit worn and could use some updating. The bathroom looked much older than it does in the photos. During the last two days of my stay, the toilet kept running, and I had to adjust the flush handle several times to make it stop. The bed was decent, but I’ve definitely slept better in other hotels at a similar price point. Overall, it’s not a bad hotel because the location is excellent, but for the price, I expected better cleanliness, maintenance, and a room that matched the photos more closely.

Loved the huge, airy room. Balconies were great. Location perfect. Bed comfortable. Restaurant /bar /hotel staff super nice and food & drinks were great. Overall very good experience and will stay again.

Husband and I booked the junior suite with terrace for two nights. It was just okay. Nothing spectacular. Dints in walls and bathroom could have been cleaner or refreshed with paint and deep grout cleaner. Rooms are not soundproof. You can hear doors and elevators close as well as construction outside. Bed is comfortable though.

Super clean, sleek, large room and a lovely balcony. Be aware there is a massive construction project across the street. Luckily, the hotel will give you ear plugs!

Room was beautiful and overall staff was awesome. My reason for four stars are really nits. The blinds in the room didn’t go all the way down and the bed made a cracking noise whenever I moved waking up my partner.

Loved my stay at the Gotham! There is a close by parking garage. It’s right across the street with much cheaper parking than any other hotel I’ve stayed at in the area. There is always someone at the front desk, they are very helpful. The room I stayed in with a balcony was tiny but private. I should’ve checked the sizing. Next time I would get a terrace. I will say, they also had a terrace available on my floor that was pretty private as well. It’s in a convenient area near Times Square and the theatre district. They offered to hold my bags if I got there early as well! I would 100% stay again and recommend it it anyone going into the city for a weekend or longer! Only drawback I would say is the free minibar. Make sure you take a photo of what you consume when you leave. I was charged for an additional bottle of champagne even though it was clear the second bottle was one I brought as it was much larger than what they offer. I even spoke to two people ahead of time I was bringing my own bottle but was still charged. I will say I was refunded though and still would stay again. It’s now my go to spot. Do yourself a favor and make it easy, book here. You won’t regret it.
