The property couldn’t be in a better location and as its name says it’s got such a great historic vibe. staff and hotel decor were both great,
-
Actually awful they charge a secret secret property fee, the ceilings are peeling the bathrooms are molding the closet smelled like mildew the only reason I stayed there is because it looked cute and historic that does not mean poorly maintained. Also the extra property fee they don’t tell you about that seems to be charged as a holding fee but it’s not they say it’s in the super fine print I don’t see anywhere on expedias end about this fee. So no matter what a fee should not be disclosed after booking.

It was a great taste of old New York
-
The location was great, easy to get around to where I wanted to go. Room was very spacious for new york. All ammenities met my expectations and all the staff were lovelly. They really helped me out in a time of need !! I owe them ! Lift could of been faster but it was a very old building so not really a problem. It wasnt that big of a deal.

Amazing staff, lovely big rooms and quirky decor.

This place did not disappoint! Absolutely amazing!!

It’s a NYC vibe for sure. Our room was big and beautifully decorated. The staff was very accommodating. It was quiet. I enjoyed my stay.

This place is a true boutique style hotel. The staff is incredible and the location is out of this world.
-
The Staff is amazing- shot out to David always! The rooms are huge and the location is perfect
-
Stafff were great, location fantastic, room huge. It's a really authentic taste of New York, SO much better than the mid-town tourist trap experience. Im so please we made the choice to stay here

The staff were very helpful, available, and genuinely pleasant throughout the stay. As for my room specifically, the terrace was absolutely amazing: private, spacious, and with an open view. In full honesty, the housekeeping was not ideal. That was the only downside that bothered me. Still, it would not stop me from coming back

The front desk staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The room was large and offered two queen beds. The property is doing the are minimum in furnishings and maintenance and charging a premium. The door was extremely loud and squeaky. The linens were stained and low quality. The mattress and bed-frame were low quality. The coffee machine did not work and it was obvious that was the case for a while. The bathroom had cheap fixtures and was not clean. The shower mixer handle was broken and the water temperature was not good. All of this for almost $400 for ONE NIGHT. Very disappointing.

Safe and secure, comfortable big bed & great staff that couldn’t do enough for you. Not much, I’d be nit picking really. Would’ve been nice to have a safe in the room, but not really an issue as room is very safe and secure.

Also had kitchen utensils if you wanted to cook and room and bathroom very big

Do not book through Hotels.com because they (or the hotel) WILL NOT honor their price guarantee of "what you see is what you pay". This facility DOES include a $39 per night hotel fee and it WAS included in the amount charged and was also on my Hotels.com reservation confirmation---that is not in dispute. I read the fine print...no problem. The fees and taxes were included on my CONFIRMATION I received from Hotels.com. But because I chose to pay AT the hotel instead of through hotels.com beforehand, they decided to charge more than I booked for for the base nightly rate at check in. The nightly rate charged basically doubled their hotel fee...the nightly rate that was charged was increased conveniently by $39 per night AND they separately charged $39 per night fee which resulted in an overall nightly room rate of $283. You can book with them direct right NOW for a lesser nightly fee for the same room, so it's extremely deceptive (and their daily hotel fee if you book direct is $29 per night not $39 or even $78 as charged-not even what they told hotels.com!!!). Let me tell you...for that nightly rate, this hotel is NOT worth it. Their hotel is "tired". Mold stains in bathroom shower and around the tub, dirty grout, there was a dip in the floor where the vinyl plank flooring is coming undone and I almost cut my toe on it twice. There are no kleenex and the toilet paper is from Amazon and it's like sandpaper. Also, bring ear plugs for road noise.

Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.

Location was main reason we chose to stay there. Also wanted to try a boutique-style hotel rather than a large chain. So much charm with this hotel, staff was extremely courteous and helpful. There is a night club a block away so the music is a little loud on the weekend but nothing that a good pair of ear plugs can't remedy.
