The BEST HOTEL IN NYC! The staff treats us like family! Only one lace we stay! 💙💙💙💙

While the room was nice the hotel/common areas are very tired. The hotel is dark and lacks atmosphere. The photos of its heyday only emphasise how far it has fallen. We were going to have a late drink in the bar in the way back from dinner but there was not a single customer in the bar and the place was uninviting. None of this is consistent with a landmark luxury hotel which is what they are charging and we are paying for.

Nice hotel. No upgrade on a special occasion and no coffee in room. Nice but Plaza always gives me upgrade.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. My wife found the mattress too soft for her liking.

Clean and Luxurious! My room was wonderful and clean, boasted a half view of Central Park. Housekeeping was fantastic and the general amenities were lovely. Room service was delicious. The staff was so kind! I don’t typically stay at hotels of this calibre but they certainly know how to do luxury and treat its patients. They even have elevator attendants! No dislikes

The suites were beautifully renovated and very comfortable Staff is amazing. Corridors need updating. Carpeting looks worn and tired and even smells in some areas. Breakfast is very overpriced.

This is a very overpriced hotel for what you get. Some of the staff (front desk) we rude and unfriendly. We had three issues with our room that were fixed promptly. The air conditioning stopped working, the phone did not work, and the bathroom door handle came off. The bar and restaurant had obscenely high prices for what you get. This hotel is for folks who don’t mind wasting money for what you get. I would never stay at another Taj hotel. Just not worth the price.

Breakfast was great, staff were friendly, but room service took over 45 minutes to deliver just plates and forks — at which point we had just gone to the bar to get it ourselves. Bathroom had a small leak, leaving a puddle in the morning. Lots of charme and great staff — but we were disappointed as we had higher expectations. Comping just $30-40 for minor incidentals on a $3000 bill felt rude rather than a nice gesture to make up for inconveniences. At that point, don’t comp at all.
