Umbrella Hotel Brooklyn

I stayed at Umbrella Hotel for about a week, and overall, I had a great experience. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t completely happy in the beginning and had some concerns with my room. However, after addressing my concerns with a specific staff member, the situation was handled and the rest of my stay went much more smoothly. One thing I really loved was the location—it was very convenient for me. I also appreciate that they offer smoking room options, because not many hotels offer that anymore. The pricing was also very reasonable, especially for the area and length of my stay. There are definitely a few things that could be improved. The bathrooms could use some renovations and updates, and I think the hotel could provide better amenities such as higher-quality soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The bed frames could also use some upgrading. Despite those minor issues, my stay ended up being a positive experience, and I would definitely recommend Umbrella Hotel to others. The staff addressed my concerns, the location was great, the prices were good, and I appreciated having the smoking room option. I would definitely consider staying here again!

Front staff was great! The gentleman was personable, easy to understand and very customer-service friendly. He made check-in and check-out easy. The rooms are okay. Small. It didn’t look too clean. But it was fine for a quick sleep, shower and go.

It was nicely presented. The bathroom door in our room was cracked, the tv had a line down the middle, our curtains were broken a bit, and i found a lash strip on the floor

The room was barely clean upon arrival, and the bedsheets were ripped. While a few members of the staff were helpful, unfortunately, the majority were not. The room itself was decent, but housekeeping was inconsistent and it was not cleaned regularly throughout the stay. The surrounding neighborhood is actually fine, but the building itself is poorly maintained and not very presentable. What was especially disappointing was the lack of basic hospitality. In the middle of the summer, the hotel does not even provide guests with complimentary water. Overall, the property could be much better with improved cleanliness, maintenance, and a greater level of attention and care from the staff.

The staff was friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, the property itself was in poor condition and needs significant improvement in cleanliness and maintenance. The staff was the best part of the stay, but I would not recommend this property in its current condition.
