The location was excellent and the relation price room amenities was good! I just would like to put a little effort in the bathroom! but it was good!

location it was dirty and looked like jail, showers were broken, toilets were constantly plugged or there was no toilet paper, the staff wasn’t very pleasant and they have luggage room for 4$ per luggage which is absolutely ridiculous

Location was good. Hotel was pretty cheap. Scarily unsafe. I knew I had a shared bathroom, but what I didn’t know was, it would not lock, meaning I felt unable to use it during the night, as I felt the risk as a single woman was too great. The room was disgustingly dirty, the bed uncomfortable and noisy every time I moved. If there had been a fire on my corridor I would have been trapped. I knew it would be cheap, but I expected a basic level of safety. On the bright side, I now know what prison feels like!

Great location, amazing staff all arpund My room was so noisy 24/7 due to an engine (?) Outside my window.

Location is crazy good Bed linen is clean but bathrooms are not clean - this is more of a reflection on the guests staying there.

The location is great, right next to Central Park. Also, I didn't expect the room to be so spacious. Except for a few stains on my pillow the room was very clean. Since you're not going to spend much time in the room (I mean it's New York) it's good value for your money... As mentioned, the stains on my pillow were a bit irritating to me. The bathroom, I'm sorry, was catastrophic. The hygiene there was a real issue, one of three showers on my floor (11th floor) did not work unfortunately....

Toilets were clean but the whole bathroom on our floor (9th) was in bad condition.

I've stayed here a lot over the years and the location is great. I also appreciate the work and policy of the YMCA and I think this one is working very well and the beds are a lot more comfy than they look. It's not a luxury hotel and you know that when you book, but I really like the vibe here! This time I missed the nice and friendly staff I've always encountered before. Especially the 24h "guard" checking the cards, that's great- I'm all for security of course- but why so serious all the time? Where's the "Good morning ladies", "Have a great day", "Welcome back, good night" etcetera? I missed that!
