Front desk staff was always joyful and helpful even during 101º heat in the city!!

Great location and well maintained. Certainly small but pretty normal for NYC

No gym, air con very loud, requested new pillows and they were not supplied, cleaner tried to come in at 8am.

Overall room was Clean & comfortable

Not so great things: the hotel lobby/first floor is very dark--as in it's hard to see where the elevator buttons are it's so dark. This may be a hotels.com issue, rather than the hotel itself, but the room I booked was supposed to include bathrobes & slippers--no sign of those at the hotel. Also, our window was an interior window, looking into a dim air shaft, rather than the exterior view clearly indicated in the photos on the hotels.com website. Hotel staff said an exterior window is only included if you book a King or King deluxe room, which is not at all clear on the hotels.com website.

The rooms were big, location great. The pictures oversold the view of the park, especially from the balcony. But it was still worth it.

“OK” is the best way to describe this hotel. Small and old…every molding is chipped, artwork broken, general musty smell. Surface level clean and very attentive housekeeping. The front desk is not friendly and were downright hostile when we asked for an extra roll of toilet paper. That being said the location is so convenient for sight seeing that I MIGHT stay here again.

Amazing staff. Very accommodating. Restaurant in hotel was amazing! Try their oxtail fried rice. Rooms were decent.

The location was terrific - great proximity to the park, Lincoln Center, and a fabulous breakfast bagel place right next door. In addition, the on-site Japanese restaurant was a convenient and delicious opportunity to try a wide selection of freshly made culinary offerings and uniquely designed cocktails. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful when it came to food suggestions and getting a taxi. Sadly, the hotel decor was grim. The lobby, I believe, was newly decorated because it did not match the on-line photos. It now has with a very dark color scheme and harsh metal accented furniture and low lighting which contributes to an overall grim and almost menacing feeling. Our room was small but comfortable with great darkening curtains. Unfortunately, our bathroom ceiling leaked, making the floor wet and necessitating using a towel to prevent us from slipping. Overall, location, staff and food options a definite plus - but maintenance and decor lacking.

However, because I have issues with diminished vision, I felt the lobby, elevator, and room were incredibly dark. I could barely see in the lobby and had difficulty reading the elevator numbers. The room lighting was also too dim for my liking, with no option to adjust its brightness. In addition, I did not see any accessible entrance to the hotel from the main street. There did not appear to be a ramp for wheelchair or walker access. Because of this, I question the accessibility availability for those with mobility issues. The hotel was good overall. The front desk was helpful when needed, and we were given enough advance notice when the boiler needed to be repaired. Because of my diminished vision, I would probably not stay there again, but for those without a disability, the hotel is not a bad choice.

The location was great but the room was extremely small and greatly lacked amenities such as a coffee maker, iron, refrigerator. Thankfully it was only a one night stay. With all the options in NYC, I don’t think I will be going back to this hotel

If you’re looking for just a place to sleep with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom set up this hotel hits the spot and it’s in a great location right off a major subway stop in NYC.

Great NYC Hotel! Very convenient location right by Columbus Circle. Easy access to the subway and the 1 train which makes it simple to get up and downtown in a flash. All around a great spot for a quick trip into the city.

Had a note slipped under the door saying emergency water heater repair was required and there would be no water from 11pm-7am. Pretty inconvenient for an early riser but I guess unavoidable.

we got to the front desk they even refuse to refund they said sorry you got in already ????? What were we supposed to do !!!!! so we left and booked at Sheraton Marriott Bonvoy with an excellent welcome and nice rooms with an upgrade for both rooms at a cost of 480 us dollars the Columbus Hotel is a Scam this is a prostitution exchange place sorry but that was told by the concierge of the Bonvoy Marriott. I cannot understand why we were not reimburse since we spent 10 minutes at this place which cannot be consider as a Hotel Regards roger

Room was clean, nice selection of items in the mini bar and water pressure in shower was amazing. Nice location for seeing the ballet at Lincoln Center.
