I was not happy about the parking I was charged 3 days instead of 2 days

That was extremely nice and helpful. Room was clean and well maintain.

While my initial impression was skeptical, with construction going on right next door, I was pleased with many aspects of the Moderne. The room was spacious, for NYC. The complimentary pastries and coffee in the morning were inviting and delicious, and the guest lounge was nicely appointed. Love the location and Monica at the front desk was very friendly. A special shoutout to Jerry, the Bellman! His personality made the stay for me!

Great location wish they did a little more for the breakfast that was included like a juice only coffee and water

Clean room, great staff and great price but breakfast was muffins. Charge a little more and include breakfast

Hotel was great. Elevators would be my only thing to complain about did take a while, also the doors where very noisy to close. Other then that staff where fantastic and very helpful

Super friendly and helpful staff. Amazing location and the coffee machine in the guest lounge made great coffee that I had never seen before. Not Kuerig but foil packets. Hot Chocolate up there was great for my son.

It was very noisy couldn’t sleep for the two nights.

Centrally located. Easy to get a subway train from that neighborhood, and walk to shows on Broadway. Our room was away from the street and construction noise.

On overall, I was happy with the hotel. On this location and room quality, I felt it was a good deal. Although, 1. No view whatsoever (my room #703), had to keep close all day and night. 2. You hear loud banging noise from next building. I was mostly out for work, but if someone stay in a room, that noise must be super annoying. The hotel should state the construction/noise situation in the listing (not a notice left on desk in the room). 3. The hotel said that we have free breakfast though. Actually I went to the breakfast room on the 2nd floor, tried 2 mornings. There was almost nothing, just a few muffins there and tray was kept open so I felt not safe from a sanitary standpoint, I did not touch those, just grab a coffee and left.

Hotel was great, location/room were wonderful. The “lounge” was nothing more than water and coffee with continental breakfast being small dry muffins. That being said would definitely stay there again!

Great location, Clean and Easy!!!

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Bed was comfortable and large but very low to the ground so a bit difficult to get in and out of with ease. Great water pressure in the shower. There was a window but it let in very little light so room felt dark unless additional lights were on. Fridge in the room but it's very small [listed as mini fridge so not unexpected] and only fit a few drinks.

The rooms are tiny with a tiny window looking at a dark brick wall in the alley. The ac is in the window bringing in the alley odor. The first room we looked at smelled so bad and had so much air freshener that we couldn’t breathe. We finally gave up and took the third room. The chair in the corner is fabric and it was covered in stains. Same with the carpet. The sheets on the bed were horrible. And the worst part is that we paid twice as much for the second room for my boys because it had two beds in the room

Our two night stay was in a perfect location for our planned activities - Carnegie Hall, AMNH, Central Park and MOMA. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Gerry (sp?) was fun, engaging and made the small lobby feel like coming home. The construction going on over top of the building and the scaffolding in front of the building didn’t interfere with our experience, thanks largely to the warm welcome from the staff. We will stay here again when our plans bring us back to the area.
