I absolutely loved my stay at the Moderne. The staff was phenomenal. Each staff member made our stay. Andy and Melvin especially! Thank you so much. We will be back again and again. Great location! Sparkling clean! :)

This hotel was within a very short walk of MOMA whose visit was one of my highlighted activities in NYC. The room was spacious, spotless, and well maintained. The staff were helpful. There was nothing that they could do about the construction right next door; but my room was quiet during non-working hours. The wall paper in the halls struck me as out of Alice in Wonderland in a quaint way with all its differently shaped frames and colors. Breakfast was coffee, tea, or chocolate with an assortment of baked goods; if you're looking for something in the family of eggs and bacon, you'll need to look elsewhere. But that's fine since the place is so centrally located with lots of restaurants and food stores nearby. Rather than walk in the sweltering summer heat, I took a cab to the Museum of Natural History, which provided another highlight of my visit. All in all, this place is well located, has very nice rooms, and helpful people on staff.

Comfortable place. Staff was great. Location was phenomenal. However, they should stop advertising the included breakfast - it’s a tray of scones/ danish which aren’t that great.

This hotel was wonderful! We stayed for 4 nights in early June. We were in an excellent location to easily walk a lot of places. The beds are incredibly comfortable, though the bathrooms are VERY small. The only critique I have is that while "breakfast is included" was advertised, "breakfast" is a platter of small pastries. Not a breakfast by any explanation. Maybe a snack you eat on your way to actual breakfast? Either way, we would stay there again for sure. We'd just make other plans for food.

Smaller hotel, one elevator. Room nice. Breakfast underwhelming. Some staff much more helpful than others, for example cleaning staff should not try to grab the only elevator before guests.

More items could be offered for breakfast. The staff was friendly and kind.

Great location, fantastic staff, great service, good size rooms. The type or air-conditioning used is noisy.

Horribly hard beds. We actually left a day early because of that. The initial front desk woman was pretty rude but the rest of the staff were great. Also construction outside the building from 8-5. Location was good.

Very nicely appointed rooms with nice amenities. My only complaint is that there was no mention in the listing that there are no windows in any of the rooms except the suites. We had to upgrade to a suite as we felt claustrophobic in a rather small room with no windows.

The hotel is clean and in a great location. I would definitely stay here again. The only detail I was disappointed in was the breakfast. It was only pastries and coffee from a single serve machine.

Good location. Noisy air conditioner

The start of my trip was horrific. It was meant to be my first time flying. Due to air traffic control and weather, I had six canceled flights out of Atlanta. I decided to drive in a blind rage to NYC. 13 hours exactly. I called and explained what was happening and they made sure everything went smoothly at my arrival. I was in my room within 4 minutes of getting out of my car. Every member of staff I spoke with was helpful and considerate of my situation. Will be seeing a lot more of NYC and will be staying at Moderne each stay.
