Property needs some improvements. Bathroom door did not latch close. No housekeeping service. Decor and construction seems old inside the rooms... With bad paint job. Not worthy of a four star rating.

We had a very nice stay here. Parking was very convenient. Our shower was broken but they moved us to an upgraded room. The hotel bar has a great vibe.

The lounge and restaurant on site have minimalistic menus and mediocre food, although service at Gracies was amazing. Outside of Fletcher, the front desk staff were less than helpful and rarely made eye contact, asking every time we walked by, if we were checking out. The room itself, a corner suite, had high ceilings, a massive walk-in closet and was generally spacious. Coffee in room was provided as decaf only, a true insult to PDX culture. The furniture was in need of repair, lamps all flickered, most outlets were nonfunctional and the ironing board was so old, the cover crumbled when opened. The air return grates were thick with dust, not great for allergies. The TV provided basic cable, 13 channels, you get more at Motel 6. The hotel itself has no amenities, though generally quiet, I wouldnt stay here again.

The room was great, the area was great, the bar downstairs was great, the cleanliness was great. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was due to the bathroom doesn’t lock. We were with friends and definitely could have utilized a locking bathroom. Also during check out we had to wait a lengthy amount of time to wait for desk person to come back from wherever they were. Other than that, it was all great.

Beautiful hotel parking right across the street

Loved the style of the property. So super cute. They ran out of regular coffee for rooms so we inly had decaf( i know i know ) wished they had simple room service so we could of had fresh coffee delivered. But otherwise was a great stay. Parking is across the street in the garage and cost $40 a day charged to room.

The bathroom does not have an exhaust fan, and the bathtub drains slowly while showering. There are also some signs of wear in the room, but nothing that would prevent me from staying here again. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning in the future.

Vibe of hotel. Location. No kettle to make tea/coffee!

Great location!
-
Not much Old tired rooms with dingy dirty furniture, small old-fashioned (not updated) bathroom, surly front desk manager (Kat); hotel did not honor any of the previously-agreed to requests (paid early check in, crib). Dangerous neighborhood too.

My suite was beautiful, comfortable and quiet. You can’t ask for better than that!
-
Nice but small lobby. Great check-in. Room was good size with clean large bathroom. Very good breakfast place in hotel. All staff were friendly and helpful.
-
Lovely spot in Portland - great retro feel while still having all the amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Overall, good place. Very cool bar! Love the old time movie theme of the entire hotel. My room could use an update. The sink didn’t drain well. It was a VERY hot day and the AC couldn’t handle it. Room service was unresponsive unfortunately. Overall i’d go there again because of price and location.

This establishment is well maintained and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was small but ample and extremely quiet. The on-site dining was great. Breakfast was filling and delicious. It helped start the day especially when I had a full day of activities to complete. The convenience of other nearby restaurants allowed for easy dining and light rail (2 blocks around the corner) made getting around a breeze.

It's a nice hotel but an older building so the AC was not working properly for how hot it was and I had to request a fan. It helped a little. Extra coffee in the morning is hard to get/find, especially if you sleep in. The restaurants there are nice

It’s got an old movie star feel about it and I like the vibe Everything was great
-
Drinks at Driftwood are delicious. Breakfast at Gracie's was also delicious and filling. Short walk to downtown shopping and the art museum.
-
a pet fee is fine but $60 is more than I have ever paid, with no pet it would have been reasonable.

The hotel looks amazing along with its theme. However, the attitude was terrible, simply did not care about the customer. Do NOT stay in room 327. The large AC for the hotel is next to window. The noise was terrible. The couch was in bad condition and covered with cheap nylon cover ( did notstay in place) it was such a shame as we lookedforward to staying here. We arrived an hour before check in at 4pm!! Other guests arriving after us were checked in. We waited, despite going to reception. When we complained about the noise during the night and in themorning, the response from the Supervisor was that she was sorry we were noise sensitive. Zero empathy. This kind of service can entirely ruin a stay. Unfortunately bad customer service impacts everything.
