Very good stay

The hotel was very nostalgic. Clean rooms. Staff was great. The sink and tub drained slow had to have it cleaned out and should have made sure drain was clean before leaving as the next shower hair came back up out of drain. Parking was covered by hotel.

Very satisfying place 👍

This is an old building (historic Portland architecture) tgat has been upgraded as Hotel Deluxe. Though the bones of the building are a bit worn through the decades, we found the room and hotel to be clean, comfortable, and very much enjoyed our stay. There is no mini-fridge in the room so we weren’t able to keep our leftovers from dining out, but aside from that we loved our romantic getaway here and would stay again. We found the cocktails and service at the hotel bar/lounge, The Driftwood Room, top notch. Would recommend.

Very well done Hotel deluxe! We were in town for a big concert that was in walking distance of the hotel. It was a huge crowd. The customer service at the Hotel deluxe was phenomenal, accommodating, polite, enthusiastic. Some of the best customer service I have seen, we had a wonderful stay.

Exceptional staff, great location to Provident Park (2 blocks), excellent parking and very nice room. Would definitely stay here again!

Pleasant large rooms with nice windows and lots of light.

Rooms are small, bathrooms need to be updated.

Great value for the area, even with the $40.00 per night parking fee.

Great location and staff, good time hotel

Check-in was pretty easy. There’s no valet. Parking was a little sketchy. The bar is incredibly dark. You couldn’t even read the menu. The drinks were good. The AC did not work in two of our rooms that we had. But it did work in my room. The beds were comfortable. It’s a very old hotel. But unique. Great walking distance.

There were steps to enter the lobby before we could get a luggage cart which made a bit of a challenge for us. The hotel has classic Hollywood glamour, close to metro cars to everything!

We loved the decor in the halls and checked every halls photos. Convenient location

Unfortunately, the online photos didn't accurately reflect our experience. The lobby and guest room were much smaller than expected and appeared much larger in the listing photos. We also booked a room with a sleeper sofa for our daughter, but the slipcover looked worn and not particularly clean, so we didn't feel comfortable using it. While I appreciate the vintage style, historic doesn't have to mean worn. The lamp in the sitting area flickered constantly, and our third-floor windows were completely covered with frosted film, leaving no outside view. There also wasn't an easy way to get luggage into the hotel. Parking was across the street in an open lot rather than a secured garage. Although we didn't have any problems, the area didn't feel especially comfortable when unloading luggage. And we didn't want to leave anything exposed in the car. The combination of these issues led us to check out a day early instead of staying the three nights we had booked. The hotel has character and the staff was kind, but we left feeling that the online photos created expectations the property simply didn't meet.

Property needs some improvements. Bathroom door did not latch close. No housekeeping service. Decor and construction seems old inside the rooms... With bad paint job. Not worthy of a four star rating.

We had a very nice stay here. Parking was very convenient. Our shower was broken but they moved us to an upgraded room. The hotel bar has a great vibe.

The lounge and restaurant on site have minimalistic menus and mediocre food, although service at Gracies was amazing. Outside of Fletcher, the front desk staff were less than helpful and rarely made eye contact, asking every time we walked by, if we were checking out. The room itself, a corner suite, had high ceilings, a massive walk-in closet and was generally spacious. Coffee in room was provided as decaf only, a true insult to PDX culture. The furniture was in need of repair, lamps all flickered, most outlets were nonfunctional and the ironing board was so old, the cover crumbled when opened. The air return grates were thick with dust, not great for allergies. The TV provided basic cable, 13 channels, you get more at Motel 6. The hotel itself has no amenities, though generally quiet, I wouldnt stay here again.

The room was great, the area was great, the bar downstairs was great, the cleanliness was great. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was due to the bathroom doesn’t lock. We were with friends and definitely could have utilized a locking bathroom. Also during check out we had to wait a lengthy amount of time to wait for desk person to come back from wherever they were. Other than that, it was all great.
