Really nice stay! This place has a vibe. The soaking pool is really enjoyable. I almost didn't reserve due to not having a bathroom in the room, however it was completely reasonable using the shared bathroom space. The bathroom was spotless.

What a great cool historic place! So rock n roll too! Amazing soaking pool in the basement!! Great location.....shared bathrooms but there's 4 on each floor so no problem!! I'll def come back!

Solo trip, perfect location walking distance to everything I wanted to do. Nice area, soaking pool was wonderful, as was Hal’s Cafe. I loved the dimly lit halls and quirky ambience. Definitely will stay again! Also can’t beat the price point.

I didn't know we were supposed to eat breakfast while we were there. The champagne that I ordered was forgot. So when we finally got it, it was warm on ice.

I definitely enjoyed the pool it was so relaxing to soak in it. The design of it too was amazing. It was a nice quiet day and it was super clean

A quick Uber ride from Union Station, excellent downtown location. Eclectic design, great staff, relaxing hot pool, great cafe bar and basement bar. Very clean, comfortable bed. The cafe prices a bit high, especially an $18 glass of red wine.

Amazing historic experience

What a unique little gem of a hotel. It's in a building from 1911, so it's quirky, old, and squeaky, but has charm and is updated with a funky decor.. The room was small but clean and perfectly fine with a mix of funky and old fashioned. Downside was it just had sink and there were four shared bathrooms on each floor - but I guess that's how they did things 115 years ago. You have to decide if no bathroom is a deal breaker. Staff was nice and friendly. There's a restaurant/bar, a basement bar where they had a comedy show going on. There's even a basement swimming pool. Good location. Nice to experience something different.

I loved the style and vibes of this hotel! I personally love staying in quirky funky places and this met the mark for me- but for guests who need more privacy or easy and accessible parking, I'd skip this pla. The location is great for exploring downtown Portland, two blocks from Powell's and close to so many shops!

We grabbed a beverage from the bar and went to the spa right after check in and had it all to ourselves. Very comfortable and relaxing. Such a hidden gem! The restaurant had delicious dinner and breakfast options and the complimentary coffee was very nice. The elevator is slow, so we took the stairs!
