Hyatt Centric Downtown Portland

We had a a small child as a neighbor, so the noise was absolutely there. Kids have to be kids right. Over all Great stay, clean room, hotel staff was very kind. Only thing the bothered me was one of the valet parking guys had a condescending tone and was not very friendly while assisting with their check in system.

The staff is pleasant and available. The area was clean , in house breakfast was good. I got charged $50 for early check in while they made references that we paid through booking.com so we didn’t qualify but they would make an exception. Got put in a room directly in front of the elevators on the 3rd floor. Uncomfortable and loud. The rooms have zero insulation , all concrete , can hear everything. Bed sheets were uncomfortable as well.

Vallet parking overpriced. Saved over $40 by walking 3 minutes and parking on public parking garage behind hotel.

We stayed two nights with our two young kids. On our second day we left the room at 9:30 am and returned at 8:45 pm , nearly eleven hours, and the room had not been serviced. We never hung a "do not disturb" sign. By that point we were out of shampoo, had no clean towels and trash didn’t pick up. I called guest services and the front desk 5 times. No one picked up, and it was 9:40 pm. Coming back to a hotel room at 9 pm with tired kids and no clean towels, unable to reach anyone at all, is not what I expect from a Hyatt hotel.

Great location! The bathroom situation isn’t great because the sink is outside of the bathroom. Also in the bathroom everything echoes so you can hear everything the other person does when they are doing their business. The other issue is there were only enough towels for 1 person. When we told the front desk they said they would bring towels right up to the room but no one ever came. There was also only 1 robe. Staff were friendly but no one followed up

Location We left about 20 minutes after arrival due to: 1. Sliding Door to shower does not fully close. 2. Room looks like a prison, all concrete. 3. Overall ambiance felt like Motel 6

It was very clean and the room was comfortable.

Superb

The staff are amazing! 5stars to the great coffee ready for 5am as we had traveled from the east coast & we’re awake pretty early. The hotel breakfast was also excellent.

Check in was 4pm. We arrived at 6pm and still had to wait an hour for a room to be cleaned. Room was dirty despite strong smell of cleaning solution. Dirty floor and dusty fixtures. I unknowingly sat on a wet toilet seat with hair on it. Will not return.

Made to order breakfast was great. Hotel lobby is nice. Rooms are large especially the suites. Great location.
