Very comfortable and cozy, nice facilities. Multiple activities are available in and around the hostel. The messaging is confusing. They anounce that everyone is welcome there except ICE, that the members of their "community" are safe there. But it's not clear who is included in their community and in "everyone." I witnessed the receptionist refusing to check in a customer who could only pay in cash. They said they couldn't check him in without a bank card. Looks like people without bank cards are not welcomed either and are not part of the "community". I suspect that there are other categories of people that will be treated the same way. So, the messaging is dishonest. They should either post the truthful list of people who are not, in fact, welcomed there or remove that phony sign..

The front desk was very friendly and I appreciated that he gave a quick tour of the facilities. The cafe was soooo convenient to have! I loved the lounging areas, there’s enough to socialize but also nooks to be left alone. I liked everything!

The property was a great location outside of the business of town but could be walked to in 20 minutes

This is my go to place to stay when I am visiting Portland. Awesome historical location within walking distance from many central things. Love the vibe, location, essentially everything Nothing tbh. This is a very good hostel (you should adjust your expectations if you are used to 5 stars hotels LOL).

It’s in a central location near to the historic district and downtown. Relatively clean and comfortable. There was an old smell in the rooms.
