Very clean good service

Great Staff. The rooftop bar was wonderful. The valet service was excellent. And the gym was one of the best hotel gyms around - a large selection of free weights, kettle bells and natilus machinery.
-
It’s so convenient to have the café and bar right on site.
-
the clean room and the boutique style decor.

First off, the people are welcoming and accommodating no matter the hour of the day. The bed and bedding was perfection! Daily room refresh, restaurant and rooftop bar, multiple elevators, cold water in the lobby, room service available, etc. made it very comfortable. The decor is super cute and fun!

The Graduate by Hilton is a stunningly beautiful hotel. The room was spotless and smelled clean. The staff were both welcoming and friendly. The parking was easy and affordable although in the evening the parking staff seemed a bit overwhelmed by the high volume of cars needing to be parked. Still, everyone was very polite. The bar and dining area was comfortable and the staff there very polite and efficient. I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to Richmond. The location was safe and convenient.

Rooms need an upgrade. The AC unit did not keep the room cool enough. Could never get it lower than 72 degrees. Need a microwave in the room. More English speaking employees would have made things easier as well. Valet service was good, but too expensive

The biggest issue was how strangely impractical the room was. There was no bedside table on my side of the bed, which meant nowhere to put my water, medicine, glasses, phone, or white noise machine. There wasn’t even an accessible outlet, so I had to charge my phone across the room. There was no desk, table, or other surface either. I brought a drink up from the bar and literally had to hold it while watching TV because there was nowhere to set it down. The bathroom door didn’t fit properly in the doorframe and would not close all the way. When you’re sharing a room with your husband, being able to actually close the bathroom door seems like a pretty basic expectation. The room was also quite dark, with no overhead lighting, only lamps. And there was no coffee maker, and the only in-room beverage option was decaf tea. When we asked about coffee, we were told complimentary coffee was available after 11 a.m., which is a rather unusual time to start offering coffee to hotel guests. Even the hallway felt unfinished. There was an area where an ice or vending machine had clearly been removed, leaving what looked like an unfinished hole/opening in the wall. None of these things individually would necessarily ruin

very convenient

First time in Richmond, I stayed overnight with a friend in a in one of the larger rooms. It was a nice space. I'm always interested in seeing different Graduate Hotels.

Hotel was convenient to my visit in Richmond, Parking was horrible (Valet too expensive and garage was cumbersome,) Young front desk night employees seem more preoccupied with each other, instead of attentiveness to guest. Hotel lobby, bar and pool table area seemed cool, but elevators and rooms need updating, Room was clean and bed comfortable.. Loved Bath Gel, but there was a problem with getting more wash cloth and towels for my 2 night stay. Hotel did compensate for inconvenience. Employee (short red hair) assisted us with Breakfast was AMAZING!

Clean, quiet, comfortable & affordable! Great location with an awesome rooftop bar! The advertised “rooftop pool” was apparently filled in 2 years ago, though. ☹️Please adjust the listing to reflect this. Otherwise, a great stay!

The rooms were clean. The staff were friendly overall. Check in and out was easy and no long waits. Breakfast was great. We recommend the Graduate by Hilton to individuals and families traveling.

This was our 2nd visit to this property and will continue to return. It has a great vibe with a very comfortable room. The bed was so comfortable...pillows a bit stiff but i always travel with my own. The roof top bar is always great after driving for many hours, a nice way to wind down.

It was in a great location for us as we came to Richmond to see a show at the Altria Theater which was a 9 minute walk away. It was clean, furnishings were nice, bed very comfortable and they have a place for breakfast and a bar on the ground floor and also a rooftop with bar and restaurant. It was raining on the night we were there so the rooftop was closed. I’d definitely stay here again when in Richmond. First time I’ve had the valet parking be a separate entity from the hotel. First heard it was $37 night but it was actually $44. To pay for it I had to do it online and then there was an additional tax or user fee on it. Then instead of me handing the driver a tip it had to be done on line and even the tip had an added fee to it. You couldn’t not tip and pay cash as it won’t let you continue on the site. Didn’t care for this set up at all. I’m used to being quoted a nightly rate from the hotel and it’s added to my bill.

Shelf in closet pullled out of left back corner (ADA room). Slanting so could even use place things on rack without it falling. I have stayed MANY times at the C'Ville Graduate, and felt the quality would be the same.... While staff tried to be helpful - just not the same vibe :(

I thought the decorations were unique and fun. I loved the pictures of the beagles in our room and the dark paint and the carpet. Nathan at the front desk was very nice and helpful getting us our room on time as we had a show to get to. The bathroom was a little dated and looked like it needed some paint, especially the door and frame. Otherwise bathtub nice and wallpaper funny. The one area that needed work was the downstairs restaurant. We had such trouble getting help and the waitresses were not very pleasant. We were splitting 2 entrees and we needed a couple extra plates. She came back with ketchup but not the plates. We had already had trouble getting plates earlier in the evening when we split a pizza before the show. The pizza was delivered but with nothing else. It took 10 minutes to get the plates so we grabbed some napkins and ate the pizza on napkins. When she came back without the plates the 2nd time I reminded her (nicely) that we needed plates and she said I know! But I only have two hands! And in a rude voice. It really bothered me. I actually woke up in the middle of the night thinking about it. It left a bad taste in my mouth. Everyone has a bad day sometimes, but not a great idea to take it out on the patrons when you rely on tips! But the people in the kitchen do a good job because the food was all very good. I would eat there again and just hope I didn't get that rude waitress. Hopefully she does not treat all her customers that way.

This being said this is our first stay at a Graduate Hotel. It’s a very nice hotel, clean, with great facilities and activities. Reasonably located within walking distance to many popular areas. The over night parking fees are reasonable. Now anything said here is for the property owners to address and this is not a complaint just a chance to improve. In room 704, bathroom door does not shut, fridge should be in the cabinet(???), floor was soaked from the HVAC, minor touch ups on paint, make sure the fitted sheet is pulled down and an empty bottle of water was in a cabinet. Seriously not a complaint just improvement. Not that this can be fixed but for a hotel this size with 2 slow elevators, that was a bit scary once or twice and the uppity other vacations like to hog the carts and fill the elevator with them, but that’s the people. Food was delicious and as a heads up make sure to make reservations if you walk on the Main Street to eat. Absolutely no walking after 4pm. All the staff were wonderful, polite and hard working. Might stay again given the opportunity.
