Linden Row Inn

Very nice place to stay. Annabelle was a nice addition to our visit. The outdoor seating areas are very nice.

And the lobby cat, Annabelle, is so friendly, welcoming and curious.

Excellent stay in central, historic location

We stayed at the Linden Row Inn while visiting Richmond for a concert. I specifically chose this hotel because of its excellent ratings and reviews, so I was very disappointed with our experience. The mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The walls in the room were in poor condition and clearly needed painting and general upkeep. The bathroom was even more disappointing, with noticeable mildew that should have been addressed before the room was given to guests. I understand that Linden Row Inn is a historic property, and I appreciate the charm that comes with an older building. However, being historic should not be an excuse for poor maintenance or cleanliness. Quite honestly, I was surprised by the condition of the room given the high ratings and positive reviews I had seen when making my reservation. Unfortunately, our experience did not come close to matching those expectations. For the price and the reputation this hotel has, I expected much better. I would not stay here again and would encourage management to pay more attention to the condition and cleanliness of the rooms.

Clean and well maintained facility. Only issue is parking; parking is via city garage 1 block away at $10.00 daily.

It is a charming spot. We will be back.

The hotel markets to be a civil war era hotel. Our room had 2 queen beds and did not have any colonial looking decorations or furniture. Furniture looked like it was bought at a thrift store. We had no control over ac and could only turn it off or on. Numerous broken items in room including door locking latch. Requested it be fixed and was not done. Front sidewalk had dog waste that I stepped in. Would rank lower than 2 star for stay and definitely not for ambiance

Needs to replace interior trim in some places. Looks like prior water damage? But overall cozy retro hotel with very nice staff

Room and buildings were very unique and we loved the indoor courtyard. Good location, parking was reasonable $10 fee for day/overnight. Good value for the price.

Lovely, helpful staff. A unique and interesting hotel in an interesting part of town. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can’t wait to go back. Parking was easy and inexpensive. I loved the Poe references, the architecture and the quirkiness of buildings that have been combined over many years. I especially loved the hotel kitty cat named Annabelle Lee!

Very nice property but some amenities not available

Comfortable room, friendly staff, great history!

Really mediocre stay. Our room was grimy and dark, and we could hear our neighbors detailed conversations late into the night. There were weird brown stains on the walls and curtains. The bed was very squishy. When we requested to switch rooms, the front desk kept saying to check with them later and that they would contact us, which they never did. For $350 per night, it was an absolutely terrible value. We will look elsewhere next time we visit Richmond.

Love the historical building. Felt like living in the early 1900’s but with the modern amenities (both room, AC and coffee maker etc).
