Holiday Inn Express Richmond Downtown by IHG

Great location, great staff,clean rooms but they need to fix the elevator situation. Only 1 was working and it was very slow.

Very nice stay, quiet, comfortable, parking on site under the hotel (back and side access), very helpful and friendly staff, especially good breakfast selection!

Hotel was very dirty. Shower curtain was orange at the bottom with other stains all over it. Tub and floors were not cleaned and fridge was full of other peoples food.

All the breakfast hot food was completely gone 45 min before closing. Rooms are moderately maintained but there was very poor planning on the hotels end, especially with an event going on.

We were there for 6 nights our beds were never changed there was blood splatter on the bathroom wall, rust all in the shower. Trash was only taken out once and no liners in trash cans. We had to go to customer service 4 times to get our own towels, wash clothes and toilet paper. Room was never vacuumed or swept the sink was dirty when we arrived and there was hair all over the floor. Only one elevator worked and the parking garage leaked all over when it rained. I have always stayed with IHG and this was the worse stay ever. No pool. When I asked cleaning lady for towels she got an attitude and never brought them to us and never picked up the dirty ones.

Only saving grace was the evening front desk staff Justin. He was delightful

Breakfast was great with many options. I hope there were healthier (vegan) options. Parking was ok.

Good location and the best price downtown. Helpful staff. Breakfast is limited with no healthy options like fruit and yogurt. Was given an unexpected upgrade.

My only issue was that the bed and pillows were too soft for my liking. But thats a personal preference. Id bring your own pillow if you prefer a firm pillow. Other than that, everyone there was absolutely amazing and kind. The room was better than I expected and perfect for my needs.

Nice hotel in the downtown with spacious rooms and free breakfast. The room and common areas are clean and well maintained. Good value for money if you just need a place to spend a night.

The hotel itself needs to be updated, but the staff was amazing. Location was good if you're doing things in Downtown Richmond/VCU.

Very dated compared to other Holiday Expresses.

Shower curtain needs to be replaced.
