Hilton Richmond Downtown

Had to beg for housekeeping service because it was non existent, but overall the hotel is pretty nice inside. Our bathroom could have been cleaner, but the room itself was modern and nice. Loses stars because the location is garbage. Richmond is not a safe city to walk around and the location of the hotel is very inconvenient and there is literally nothing there except lots of homeless people. Also their parking is $50 per night and 20 seconds across the road is $22.

Wonderful hotel and staff.

I would give the hotel a 9 or 10 out of 10 based on cleanliness, staff, amenities, etc. This is in no way a function or fault of the hotel, and no way they can control this, but it was extremely loud all night as it seemed everyone with a motorcycle or aftermarket exhaust on their car drove back and forth all night. We had a corner suite on the 6th floor so maybe it was the location of our room, but this made our stary less than desirable. It was a Sat night so maybe that lead to it? The hotel is great and if it wasn't for the noise factor I would go back here again and again.

Good location if you’re looking for a spot downtown. The Hilton wasn’t as nice compared to others I’ve stayed in. Biggest issue is parking if you’re driving there. The only options were valet or city parking. We tried city parking at first but we ran into issues, so ended up doing valet.

From the minute we arrived the staff was absolutely wonderful. The vallet, the check in staff, the maid service and even the bartender were excellent. Very friendly and the place was clean and updated decor and rooms. I would go back in a minute!

The bathroom door is so heavy, doesn’t stay open and was in need of replacing or painting. Hotel restaurant for breakfast was good and convenient. Parking overnight is pricey

I was disappointed by the fact that there was no coffee in our room. And there was no coffee in the lobby. I had to pay a lot of money to starbucks which I never would otherwise. For such a wonderful, expensive hilton experience, I thought it was terrible that you did not provide coffee

No complaints at all with staff, registering, departing, everyone was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, AC good. Comfortable bed. Bathroom clean. My pup was greeted and treated well, by staff. My only complaint is, if you are a pet friendly hotel, you should have on site green spaces available for pets. I would not have felt safe walking the 3-5 blocks to a grassy area, later in the evening. This would also be a safety issue.

There was a minor problem with the toilet, but it wasn't enough to put in a service call. The plastic nut that holds the handle in the toilet was stripped. We had to remove the toilet lid and flush the toilet by pulling up on the flusher arm. We were only there for a few hours overnight. I advised the clerk at the front desk when we checked out. Everything else, including the people, was excellent.

The staff at reception, the car valets and particularly the breakfast staff all delivered great service

The room was huge and clean, the gym was well equipped, and the bar/restaurant was comfortable with good food.

The fabric on the headboards of the bed was peeling and the baseboards were scuffed. Our single room had an adjoining door to another room and we could easily hear the discussion of our neighbors. The foyer also had a damp, funky smell.
