Checking in? No one to be found. Wanna get a drink? No one to be found. Constantly see employees messing around with

We stayed here for a VCU graduation ceremony. The room was huge - easily accomodating our mixed generation family. It was easy to get to for the graduation ceremony. The room was cool during a very hot weekend. Check-in was easy and friendly. The artwork on each floor was a great vibe.

This is a lovely hotel right in Downtown Richmond, adjacent to the Commonwealth House and many bars/restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very large, well-appointed, and clean. Highly recommend.
-
Suites were spacious, clean, and beautiful! Would install detachable shower heads to make it more handicap friendly.
-
The location can’t be beat! The valet gentleman was fantastic, parking us right out front as we were leaving the next morning. He made a great restaurant recommendation and we were so grateful.
-
Very spacious and clean suite! The reception and parking staff were friendly and helpful. It was perfect to stay for a night during our roadtrip.

Love this hotel!! We stay anytime we’re in Richmond and it’s across from the Capitol building with a beautiful park.

I loved this historic hotel and the location couldn’t be beat. The queen suite I reserved was spacious and comfortable at a lower cost than one room arrangements at other nearby hotels. The front desk staff was very helpful, as were the valets. The breakfast seemed reheated and the sofa bed was old, but everything else was excellent.

&40 to park my car . No vegetarian options in restaurant .
-
Friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. The air conditioner was noisy.
-
The doorman / valet was outstanding.

Staff was amazing, friendly and helpful!
-
i was not happy with the living area , walls were painted dark blue and there was no window . i had expected a view of the Capitol grounds but it was like living in a cage . I believe it false advertising because on line it showed a nice , comfortable , light room with a window . I was told the hotel was full because of a convention and I could not change to another room .

This is a charming historic hotel with a lot of personality and a great location for walking everywhere. The room was clean and unusually spacious. The entire staff from front desk to the parking valet, were always courteous and accommodating. The only negative were the fogged cobwebby windows that are in need of serious cleaning which is hampered by the fixed interior storm window. We enjoyed a convenient Happy Hour at the attached bar which is a beautiful space. We totally enjoyed our 2 nights here.
-
I appreciated the uniqueness of the hotel, but things were a bit shabby. Curtains falling off of the track in room 201. One room of the suite was freezing while the other was hot due to non functioning thermostat. Only parking option was valet at $40/night
-
The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and well stocked with everything one would need to stay. I struggled to get the bathroom shower to fully turn off. So there was a little dripping in the shower.
-
Very comfortable The elevators are small and there was a piece of the building machinery outside of our window.
-
Fridge, safe and microwave. The entire staff here is very kind and helpful. We look forward to making Commonwealth our regular hotel stay when in Richmond.
