Staff was extremely unhelpful and never answered calls.

We loved this hotel! I wish our stay had been longer than one night. Everything about the room is excellent, and I highly recommend a terrace. Some of the reviews mentioned there being no fridge and microwave in the room, they’ve been updated and now have both.

That being said, the hotel is very comfortable, the rooms are modern and clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the Parlor Bistro has really good food. One thing to note, is that I booked a King Suite with a pullout sofa bed on Expedia. That room type does not exist. When I got to the hotel they had a reservation for a single king size bed for the four of us. Fortunately the staff was able to shuffle some things around and put us into a room with two queen beds (and a balcony!). We're very grateful they were able to accommodate us despite Expedia's mix-up.

The hotel was very clean and the dark wood in the lobby kept with the historical look of Richmond. Alfreda, the front desk clerk was very friendly and took very good care of us. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were impeccably clean and well appointed. Would definitely recommend. Mattress on sofa bed left a little to be desired but that is the only thing.

Our newly renovated room was fantastic and we enjoyed the balcony! I also really liked having a bath robe and luxurious shower products. The location near the canal walk was also nice for my dogs. Staff were friendly!
